Can you file a bug asking for that kind of API event?

I saw similiar things requested...check this out:

I followed your link and saw it was marked as resolved.

As I see in the 'linked' bug, they won't implement the functionality. They see WebExt have to deal with the web, not the browser chrome :\

This webextensions thing is getting tiresome...almost nothing will work (I mean extensions, from before)

    So much more convenient to pin a tab with a shortcut. How did I manage to live without this extension for so long? A must have!

    Shown as disabled on the latest Firefox version with the "Can't read and change data on this site" message. It requires no permissions, maybe that's why.

    Sorry you are having issues with my addon. Please remove it and add it back. It might be an addon signing issue, not a permissions issue. It works fine on the latest FF.

    Does one thing and does it well, my only wish is that it would support pinning multiple tabs when they are selected. Someone has made a pull request on GitHub that does this, so any users who know how to build extensions from source can fix it on their own.

    Knowing and implementing what needs to be added to an already great product is the highest form of art.

    Suggestion: Add the function for mouse users to click on the extension to pin/unpin the current tab.

    I think it should be highlighted that this addon does not require having any special permissions.

    Take a look in the permissions box for other addons and notice "Access your data for all websites". That's pretty scary.
