Firefox 사용자 19242234 님, 일 년 전This addon claims there are filter rules. There are no filter rules that I could see. Searching the menu for "filter" reveals nothing. At best, you can "block" channels and videos, a feature youtube already has.
Also, installing this caused all of my firefox tabs on youtube to stop responding, forcing me to close and reopen each.
It's weird to me how strongly they are marketing this addon, too, and the uninstall page vaguely tries to guilt trip you for removing the plugin. I realize this is recommended by mozilla, but it's tripping a lot of sus metrics for me, and I can't recommend it.
Edit: Further review of the developer's responses on low scoring reviews make me even more certain this isn't a good idea. 1) The developers respond to claims the plugin slows users' browser down with "nuh uh no it doesn't" and "yeah well why don't you measure the milliseconds with dev tools?", and 2) The devs claim that voting less than 5 stars is "voting against the project". Why does that matter? Why does your score on your open source, free project matter? It's almost like you're pushing for popularity on your plugin for some other reason. It's incredibly suspicious, and that type of language is couched in incredibly manipulative undertones. *Don't install this.* This thing is full of red flags.

10달 전에 게시됨Hi, the word filter applies to our many layout and display:none features. However content-filtering can be the biggest roadmap item since we have not implemented or been asked, most of it. Recently our new "competitor" Untrap has some too i think and is surprisingly the most / only likely developer to be reading our repo and roadmap. (If you can, suggest them not to collab / not reinvent this difficult task https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/discussions/1881). You can give fair feedback and you might not want to frustrate volunteers. We could also flag this ("Misplaced bug report or support request"), but prefer to keep information visible. There is no marketing budget and usually that would leave traces. When driven by suspicion, you might have more fun /success examining code. (You could enhance global security scanners or run your own).

But I have 2 features I'd like to ask for. 1 being a separate grid size options for shorts and for the side bar on video player. While I'm not doom scrolling shorts, I'm sub'd to a few channels that put out great quality shorts that'd I'd like to view. Shorts are just really large compared to normal thumbnails. It's a balancing issue choosing between smaller thumbnails vs huge shorts. 2, Sidebar thumbnails feel huge after installing this extension. If you could include an option to reduce thumbnail size and increase video title space, that'd be great. But 2 is honestly just personal preference. I'm using Zen Browser if that makes any difference.

- While watching videos on YouTube, playback occasionally stops on its own. I am aware that the website has a feature that stops playback after 15 minutes of inactivity, but this seems to be a different issue.
In addition, videos sometimes stop playing when I switch to another browser tab. In those cases, playback resumes as soon as I return to the YouTube tab. The behavior is somewhat similar to the YouTube mobile app, where playback may stop when the screen or app is switched.
Both issues tend to occur near the beginning of a video rather than throughout the entire playback session.
I did not experience these problems while the add-on was disabled, so I suspect there may be some compatibility issue between the add-on and a web service or browser feature. - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 13122458 님, 한 달 전
- really enjoy this addon as youtube is often very frustrating for me to use without it. though, the theme setting seems to be a bit buggy for me, and often doesnt use the secondary color and text color at all, and just uses default. other than this, very useful and i'd recommend :)
