Can't believe this is a recommended add-in. Causes major malfunctions on amazon.de: 1) Prevents seeing reviews when selecting 'more reviews' and then navigating to the second page, or using filters by star rating. 2) prevents opening of popups to add notes on items in a wish list.
This has been going on for a while and i had no idea what was causing amazon to malfunction, did some time-consuming testing disabling addons one by one, and there is no doubt it was this one to cause troubles.

In theory it sounds pretty cool and it actually works at Amazon where it is the most needed for my needs... HOWEVER there is a MAJOR FLAW and it's that if enabled it completely BREAKS the search results from (Google IA) on Google.com so I must completely disable the addon since there is no "Exeption List" which is very dumb!

It breaks docusign.com/docusign.net web site. I wish there is a feature where I can list sites to exclude (like in ad blockers).

Good for Amazon, but really buggy for other stuff. Glitchy when I tried to search stuff up (flickering urls literally every time), removed ability to implement certain features when I was trying to use Google Sheets. Finally figured out this was the issue. More trouble than it's worth.

Awful! I uninstalled it. At first, there was just a flicker in the URL. The developer was informed and promised an update, but I installed the latest version (1.27.1) dated January 15, 2025, and it's worse than before, it doesn't work at all. Web pages slow down considerably, to the point of freezing my computer and having to restart it.

Used it for awhile, but recently it started breaking all sites, due tinkering with the url removing important parts.

Breaks firefox on basically all google-owned apps. You can visually see the URL flickering between what it should be and what ClearURLs is shortening. On YouTube, it does this unnecessarily, but accidentally triggers a load every time - opening a youtube tab with this extension enabled managed to rack up 30GB of RAM usage.

Recently(?) started replacing + or %20 in URLs with regular spaces, which caused things like YouTube to freak out whenever I tried clicking on a video I searched for; as the URL would rapidly switch between the video URL and the search page URL. I also noticed a very high amount of CPU usage while this was all happening.

I'm using Floorp (a Firefox fork) and I have a few other add-ons enabled, so I don't wanna immediately push all the blame on it; however, disabling the add-on made all of these problems disappear.

Breaks a lot of Google Sheets functionality, which is very frustrating, as I've used this extension for a long time, but the issues with Google Sheets are new. I'd happily update my review to a higher star rating if this issue was fixed.

I rather like the extension but as has been noted by others it breaks google sheets and also breaks google docs (albeit to a lesser extent). If this were fixed or a way provided to fix it, I would gladly give 5 stars and recommend to everyone.

I like the idea, but it breaks the function of links in google sheets. Disabled and they work fine. Happy to try work-arounds or help with troubleshooting if that's helpful.

I quite liked this extension, but I don't know why all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago it started interfering with my google sheets (I have tried everything to figure out why it didn't work and it's for sure this extension, when I disable it the doc works perfectly, yet when it's on it will barely load... I have deleted cookies, restarted it, made of copies of the docs... It's, somehow, this extension), it's a shame because I liked it and have been using it for quite a while...

While this looks like a useful extension, it can cause issues with some web applications, e.g. Google Sheets.
This was already reported multiple times (search for "ClearURLs google sheets").

Google Apps Script doesn't open if this extension is enabled and there's no field to exempt URLs on the settings.

doesn't work even trying to clean the search feature of firefox, for example:

Breaks Amazon Prime! Causes website (amazon.com) to return a "That shouldn't have happened." error message. Then, you can't even SELECT a video, without the error message.
