It's intentional. It's the only way for the extension to keep working like before. As long as it's still loading old Reddit then it's working as intended. If it's not, you may need to click the extension icon to grant permissions. I don't want to leave a bad review or anything, i enjoyed this extension in the past but for some reason this isn't working for me. Right now it forces it to www.reddit.com instead of old, but it doesn't actually show the old interface, but the new one.

Have you definitely granted the new permissions? If you click the extension icon, a tab will appear that will ask you to grant the permissions. It should have shown on update, too.

With the recently added forced login I really thought I would have to stop using Reddit completely (and lose tons of valuable search engine results as well, by the way), but now it feels like back to normal again. Let's just hope they don't find a more permanent way to screw their old userbase.
Thank you! :) - 5점 만점에 1점Firefox 사용자 12401086 님, 7시간 전the 3.0.0 version fucked up OldLander galleries with >1 image, these dont work on www.reddit.com.
Cant revert to a lower version on mobile so just removing this useless extension is the only way to use OldLander - 5점 만점에 5점Pikachu95827395 님, 14시간 전

Edit: It has now been fixed, not sure how long it'll last, however.

I don't blame the addon developer as it's not his fault, but the addon is still useless for people not willing to register on Reddit. I hope the developer will find a workaround!

Good news! I've found a way for the extension to keep working. I've published a new version but it's still stuck in review. Hopefully it will be out soon.
Edit - it's out now - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 19947753 님, 3달 전never thought Id need this in my life until I realized reddit kept changing my settings on me
I think you should stop updating this extension to only support the newest Firefox version at all times. Its just a redirector, there is no reason it needs to only support the newest version of firefox at all times while dropping support for older ones.
- I've had this installed for ages. 99.9% of the time, it's invisible. Then you use to a new browser and open reddit (or see someone else do so), and discover it's even more of a nightmare than you thought.
New Reddit even has more trackers. Good adblockers can catch them, but it's still nicer to just not have them there in the first place.
Anyway, this addon makes a significant portion of the internet better. It has never once conflicted with another addon (and I've tried a lot), crashed, or failed for me, and it's never bothered me with an ad or a donations pop-up or even a "please leave a review" pop-up. It's just there in the background, being quiet and very helpful.
Thank you for making and sharing this absolute banger of a free addon :) - reddit.com (edgebucket, loid, csv, pc, csrf_token, token_v2, session_tracker): Clean because reddit.com is not in the White or Grey lists
Getting that every minute with Cookie AutoDelete...
As another reviewer said it's just a glorified redirect. Didn't know it came packed with Reddit session tracker cookies too.

Although since old.reddit does not allow image uploads in comments, would you be so kind to add the option to pin this extension on the toolbar for quick on/off shenanigans?
Right now you need to dig in the extension settings to find it. And do the same after the comment has been posted.
