why hasn't this been updated for firefox in 2 years? WTF?

This used to be my favourite extension, but a recent UI change made it less convenient.

The dislike count is now displayed instead of the dislike icon, which means you can no longer tell at a glance whether you've already disliked a video. The like button still changes appearance when selected, but the dislike button no longer does because the icon is replaced by the number.

For comparison:
- YouTube Dislike Counter keeps both icons, but places the dislike count far to the right of the rating buttons, which looks rather awkward.
- Dislikes in YouTube™ has the best placement of the dislike count (right next to the dislike icon), but shifts the entire action bar too far to the left, causing spacing issues.

Each extension gets something right, but unfortunately none of them is currently perfect. If this one restored the original dislike icon while keeping the counter, it would easily be the best option again.

Update: I accidentally discovered that using this extension together with Dislikes in YouTube™ often results in the best overall layout: both thumb icons remain visible, the dislike counter stays next to the dislike button, and the action bar is no longer shifted to the left. Unfortunately, this combination is inconsistent and sometimes breaks after refreshing the page (the dislike icon may disappear again and the counter may display a leading zero), so it's more of a lucky workaround than a reliable solution.

It has worked great so far, but since a few days ago, the like-dislike ratio bar isnt displayed anymore and the dislike button beneath Youtube videos cannot be pressed anymore. Ergo i cant dislike videos unless i uninstall this addon.

After yesterday it doesnt work anymore... it shows the dislikes, dont show the thumbs down symbol.... also it dont show (bold black) if i downvote or upvote. if this problem is fixed, you get again 5 stars and a donation

it has a tendency to slowdown the browser from time to time.

На шкале лайков/дизлайков перестала отображаться серая часть с дизлайками. В настройках функция "Раскрасьте кнопки" тоже не работает. Версия Firefox - 115.33.0esr (64-битная).

No Longer Works, Aug. 14th 2025. No Icon, All Values are Set to 0 Dislikes??? That could be YouTube doing that, but IDK?

Slows down the entire site during use. It's useful to know when a crappy video is not worth watching, but man, I can't deal with the slowness.

Return YouTube Dislike is triggering YouTube adblocker detection. It was working fine until recently but now I have to disable the app otherwise I'm blocked from watching videos.

does what it says, but i've found that it sort of messes up some of youtube's interface. for example, it breaks the whole "hover over video to start playing" feature

Certain youtube videos now won't load with this extension turned on.

The add-on is working as intended but it's slowing firefox so hard that youtube videos sometimes can't handle it and the page is not responding and firefox even says that "Return Youtube Dislike" is slowing down the page and asks if you want to turn it off

Recently this addon makes Firefox freezes when playing old youtube videos. I will disabled it until they fix it

При включенном GoodbyeDPI, этом расширении и конкретном разрешении монитора (FULLHD) получается зависающий ютуб + утечка памяти на процессе с отжором сил процессора.

Удивительно, что лишь при именно этом комбо такая проблема. При любом другом - все в порядке
