The script that this addon keeps crashing and I have to either "stop script" or "continue" when it does crash the page. This addon is absolutely clumsy... Grateful that it is free, but even though it is free, it is unuseable...
OLD:
I really tried to love this extension. After getting a notice that a Dark Mode extension was no longer certified or checked or whatever the mozilla folks are determining safe use was no longer safe, I switched over to this one since it was "recommended" and seems like mozilla was ok with it (whatever the hell that means).
The interface is clumsy, can't you just implement a simple switch?
When you do turn it on or off, you have to refresh the page, which sometimes destroys the content of the page.
I really really tried to like it, not give it one star cause you deserve an extra start for effort, but the quality of this extension is an F. It's clumsy, too many options (just give us dark mode, 99% don't care to tweak the little things, it gets in the way).
Why are "dark mode" so hard to implement? Just flip the white to black, black to white, and if the pages don't come out right, we'll just force it back and complain to the webmaster. I just don't get it.

It comes off as a "free extension" but when you download it they straight up are like "give me money or we'll lock the extension and also cause physical damage to your computer with a "memory leak" issue." Most of the "5 star reviews" are obvious AI bot reviews too, so don't let that fool you either. I mean sure the saying its "FOSS" but requiring payment is one thing and yeah you should just say "we require payment" on the ad. Purposely wording things in a way that beats around the bush is scummy, but a lot of these extensions and apps do this and it's expected at this point unfortunately.
Having "memory leak issues" due to faulty programming which causes physical damage to someone's computer, and to also require payment at the same time makes me feel sorry for the unfortunate people that are less computer literate that actually paid these hacks $10 and are wondering why their CPU and Memory are running at max load constantly. Use that $10 or whatever the exchange rate for your country is and go to the local corner-store and get a cheap pair of sunglasses if you need dark mode this badly. It's safer for your computer, phone, and wallet. We're in a memory shortage crisis as is and these jerks are going to cause you to be paying more than $10 for their badly programmed "gimmick" down the line. - Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Tony, 11 dager siden

- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av pulsar14, 16 dager sidenMany sites require a different filter (dynamic, filter, filter+, static) when forced in dark mode to be readable. Why don't save the filter setting in addition to the dark mode option for each configured site?
- Vurdert til 5 ut av 5av Jeremiah Perez, 17 dager sidenExcellent work by the developers. This has been part of my setup for a while now and it never lets me down.
- Vurdert til 3 ut av 5av Joe, 18 dager sidenGreat but only three stars because it breaks the FireFox start screen. White text on a white background is not readable
