I like that it shows the ''Auto copy'' popup when it does its business. This way I stay sure that it really copied what I wanted.

I see no reason to use copy on select, because the AutoCopy WE with customizable delay to prevent unwanted copying is much better. Of course there are not as many cool options as the old AutocopySelection2Clipboard had (formatting?), but at least I can productively use this in FF57.
