- Waardering: 5 van 5door Firefox-gebruiker 13434365, 5 jaar geledenSeems to work great in latest FF. I like the simple way to edit folders via a text box in settings. Other reviewer is correct. You can create symlinks in the downloads folder to save files anywhere outside the downloads folder.

Все кто говорит про ограничение на загрузку только в Downloads - используйте символические ссылки и сможете сохранять куда угодно.
Не хватает изменения имени файла - Waardering: 5 van 5door Eldar, 6 jaar geledenThe extension is great, just what I was looking for.
I feel like adding shortcuts to download images would make it even better. The Eagle extension uses "Alt + Click" to save images, but I can't run Eagle itself.
Something like "Alt + ___ + Click" where different keys are linked to different folders would be amazing. (added 2 years later: hydrus companion has features I needed) - Waardering: 5 van 5door Firefox-gebruiker 15061987, 6 jaar geleden

But to work around this, as mentioned by other commenters already, you can use symbolic links. Here how to do it so you won't have to look around so much:
1) Go to your Downloads Folder ( C:\Users\Username\Downloads ). Create a folder called "Symlinks" (For the sake of having everything in one place in case you actually use your Download Folder for something)
2) Open the Command Prompt with Administrative Rights (Click on the Start Button, type "cmd", right click on "Command Prompt" and run as Administrator)
3) Use the following command to create a hard link to an existing folder you want to have as an option for downloading to: mklink *Symlinkfolder* *Targetfolder*
So if your target folder was something like: D:\Pictures\Cats the command would look like this:
mklink C:\Users\Username\Downloads\Symlinks\Cats D:\Pictures\Cats
In the Symlinks folder a Linkfile named "Cats" should appear
4) In the Options of the extension, Add the line "Symlinks/Cats" (You can also delete whatever you don't need ). Then restart Firefox so it reloads and actually takes the changes (Necessary in 1.2 it seems. Can you fix this so it changes it if you press save? )
5) Now you should have your own Options listed in the menu and it should save it to the folders specified in this way. Repeat for different folders as needed.
It would be nice if the plugin could do this by itself, but I don't know if and how that'd work with Web Extensions. (Or in the mean time, put up a guide like above into the description so people know what's possible ;) )
Also, yeah, seconding the doubleclick feature :) Also, it'd be nice to have an option where if the file already exists, it either does the renaming thing as it does now, or opens up the Save Prompt so you can rename it yourself or cancel.
Well, all in all, The closer you can get to the old plugin, the better :p
Good Job so far, though! - Waardering: 5 van 5door nemuri, 7 jaar geledenawesome feature in pre-quantum firefox
As a frequent animu-board user, I really miss the old double-click-to-save feature :( and auto-renaming is crap
BTW, you can save images to folders other than downloads, you just need to create symlinks in downloads folder.
It's "mklink" command in windows, and "ln -s"in linux. - Waardering: 5 van 5door Carlos Cervera, 7 jaar geledenEs una gran extensión, sinceramente pensé que con la llegada del FF Quantum ya no habría una actualización para esta extensión tan útil y sencilla.

- double click >> last saved folder
- filename rewrite (awesome feature!!)
+1 to this, I got so used to double right click on images to save in the last folder that its one of the top 3 features I miss the most in FF Quantum.
Other than that, this add-on does a really good job! - Waardering: 5 van 5door Firefox-gebruiker 12938954, 7 jaar geledenAny chance to add the menu for videos as well?
thanks for putting in the work! - Waardering: 5 van 5door Firefox-gebruiker 13718193, 7 jaar geledenPlz!!Messiah

So sorry about the new limitations in the new FF though...
Would love to see the old amazing features of 1.0 return...
