To make matters worse, it started adding barely relevant keywords/text to the search which has sharply reduced the relevance of the final search results.

Data: 2 lata temuThe extension uploads the image you select to the image search service, and does not add keywords to searches.

A huge plus for being able to customize the list of search engines (Google, Yandex, TinEye, etc.) and search either via a single engine or all of them at once. Works flawlessly.
