I will again explain to you why your review is wrong and stupid.
The badge "Some features may require payment" is placed by Firefox Add-Ons, not by me - I have no control over it, so why are you whining about it? If I could have made it say "Paid app" I would have - this is such a stupid point you're making. Also, the description does say at the end that Torii is a "paid app with a small free trial", so you're wrong about that.

If you uninstalled the add-on then there is no way it can come back, stop lying.
Torii can't be free because it costs me lots of money to translate your images. Text detection and translation cost money, which you have to pay for. Otherwise it's not sustainable. This is another very stupid reason to give my app 1-star.

Torii provides good value to lots of users. I translate tens of thousands of images per day and I am proud of what I created. Are you proud of your silly reviews?

Such a smartass comment. The "some features" badge is added by Firefox Add-Ons and I have no control over what it says - I just tick a checkbox saying that the extension contains in-app purchases. Torii provides a free trial in the beginning, to see if you like using it, and after that it's a paid extension. This doesn't warrant a 1-star review, just because the app is paid. I can't cover the expenses related to your usage - text detection and translation is not cheap. Torii is a good quality product and provides value to over 10,000 users. All of you entitled users who whine about every service not being free are just children who don't know how the world works. Thanks for lowering the rating of my extension for nothing.

Pointless review anyway, since just because it's a paid extension, doesn't mean it's bad. Torii is a great extension, and of course I can't offer it for free because it costs me money to run.

Could you tell me how it would be possible for me to provide this service without users paying for it, since you're so smart? Just calling OpenAI's GPT5 to translate the text in your images costs lost of money ... so what the hell do you mean "pay-per-view garbage"?

Such a stupid review. Having to login to an app is not "asking for your data". You login with hundreds of apps on a daily basis by just being on the internet, stop being so dramatic. Torii uses credits since I can't offer this service for free, since it uses lots of expensive processing to translate your images, such as text detection GPU models and calls to LLMs like GPT5 for translation. Of course I ask for your money ... like any normal service or business. You can't run local models or APIs because the translation portion of the cost to run the service is super cheap and setting up your own keys is stupid and pointless. The main cost is the GPU models which extract the text, not the translation. You think everything is done as a wrapper of GPT5, well it's not. That's why I can't link your api key.

Instead of writing this dumb review, you could have talked to me in discord or gmail and I would have explained things.

It can't be free and your 1-star rating makes no sense. You're saying the product is good but rating it poorly because you can't afford it ... Imagine you said the same thing about a iPhone, "wow this phone is so good but wait, actually it sucks because it costs money ..."

you people are so weird, it baffles me. Just think for a single moment, how can it be possible for this extension to be free? I need to pay for server costs, for GPT4 translation costs, for GPU costs, for storage costs, for text detection costs and for my own time and energy spent working on this damn thing. What part of that allows for the extension to be free? Who will pay for all of the expenses? This extension will not exists and I will be broke. God I wish you random people were more reasonable because I hate seeing such reviews.

Sometimes mistakes happen either in the text detection phase or in the translation phase, but Torii should handle 95% of images very well. Instead of writing a "completely useless" review such as yours, you could have contacted me either via email or discord and I would have carefully addressed your issue and maybe even fix the bug. Might have even given you some free credits as compensation.

It's not free yes, but your review is abysmal as well. You could have given the slightest bit of constructive criticism. What went wrong? Why didn't you like the extension? How can the experience be improved? Are you just mad it's not free? If that's the case, then some things simply can't be free - I have expenses to take care of. I rate your review 1 star.

Torii offers a free trial to test things. It says right on the install page that some features are paid. Why would you leave a bad review just because it's paid? I can't pay for your usage, that is ridiculous. GPT-4 costs money, servers cost money, Gemini costs money, OCR costs money ... who is gonna pay for all those expenses? For Torii to sustain itself, it has to be a paid extension. That doesn't make Torii worth 1-star reviews. You should rate the product and provide constructive criticism that matters so I can improve the extension. Do you rate Netflix 1-star because it's a paid subscription? No, businesses have to sustain themselves, otherwise they die and no one can use them. Please remove your review.

Bro, what do you mean by a "weird login flow" ... it's literally just Firebase's standard Google Login. If you know what's messing with the login, then turn off your extension for a minute in order to login. No one else is having this problem. Why give 1 star if you haven't even made a translation attempt and tested the product. You can write to me on discord and we can figure it out.

How does it being paid make it deserve 1 star? You should rate the quality of the product or the service. I cannot provide this service for free because it costs money for me to run the servers and AI models and it wouldn't be sustainable if it wasn't paid.
