Worked great for me, then suddenly required a ton of intrusive data collection. I'm working on switching to a new password manager.

This addon is now requesting additional permissions and wants to collect my browsing and website activity, location, personally identifying information and financial and payment information. I'm done here and switching to an offline solution with KeePassXC.

Agree with a previous review. You're asking for additional data, but it worked fine for me without LP having those permissions. While I can cancel the prompt, it keeps coming back. It's time for me to stop using LastPass. Let me explain it to you again. It worked fine without the new permissions. You're asking for data that you do not need. You really need to know my location to fill a username/password? My financial and payment information? That's something I can provide, doesn't mean you should automatically get access to it. Browsing and website activity? I'm done. Should have stopped using LP after the data breach forcing me to update all my passwords. The best solution is to use something locally and there are enough options. Synchronizing this data to the cloud and trusting you guys with it was a huge mistake

Really not happy with all this new required data collection. Why do you need my browsing activity and website activity. I think its time to look for a new password manager.

Completely broke my Passkeys support on MacOS, as already written by many others. It's more than 3 months without a fix. Just bad. I am a paying users since years but the extensions for all browsers and mobile apps have degraded over time and now I am looking into competitors. I would be long gone, if it wouldn't be such a hassle to migrate all passwords and notes including files.

Multiple data breaches, poorly handled, kludgy interface, zero support.

I love lastpass but the latest version with passkeys messed my mac up, just like other users mentioned. It made it so all my mac passkeys freeze the browser. I've tried all their recommended fixes. Support told me to disable passkeys on lastpass or keychain but that doesn't fix the issue still. I had to disable passkeys on my mac now.

BREAKS WEBAUTHN INTEGRATION. Any kind of external key (yubikey, touchID, whatever Windows provides) seems to be broken by this extension. Depending on the website, this can lock up the browser as a whole and force a restart.

Older versions seem to work, but it's been several months with no fix.

version 4.146.5 is a trash. it breaks the icloud passkey on macos

4.146.5 breaks all external webauthn integration: yubikey, titan keys, and mac touch id. Verified across linux and macos.

Update: Reverting back to 4.145.0 solved this issue.

The most recent version of Lastpass with passkeys has broken TouchID on MacOS. Lastpass trying to save passkeys results in an immediate "Unable to authenticate it looks like you canceled the passkey authentication process", because it is interfering with the MacOS touchID passkey process. Thus it is unusable on websites that I use TouchID on, and also locks up the browser, forcing me to force quit and restart it. Please issue a new update.

So a fun thing that happens with LastPass is that a) it forces sites to reload and frequently breaks login pages, so that I have to disable the extension to log into my bank (for example). It also breaks its own site, so that I can't access my vault without reinstalling the extension and clearing my cookies/cache. Which WERE just annoying, but when I had the audacity to change my phone number meant that I couldn't access my vault to update it, then couldn't use the extension at all (because I couldn't do the 2FA). Support has been actively making it worse and asking for proof of account ownership that's either a) impossible (receipt for payment), b) deeply insecure and exploitable (a photo of my face + my ID by email), or c) frankly insane (enterprise/federal-level identity verification services). Heads up: do NOT send a photo of your face with your legal identification by email unless you REALLY want your identity stolen!

Do a search on "LastPass breaches" to see the problem. Put simply, LastPass has demonstrated that its security infrastructure — both software and DevOps — is not robust enough to warrant trust.

Moreover, its management appears substantially more interested in minimising negative publicity than ensuring client safety. In short, LastPass cannot and should not be entrusted with your passwords. I used them for over a decade, but have now moved to the open-source BitWarden.

It was a suprisingly smooth transfer, apart from having to change all the passwords that LastPass's breaches compromised.

It used to be quite good, but now it either fails to log me in or runs incredibly slowly. I don't think this is down to their website, as the Chrome version of the extension on Vivaldi seems too work far better and quicker; ergo the FF add-on may not be up to the job. I have reinstalled the FF version, which seems to make a slight difference, but I expect these problems will recur.

I pay for Lastpass, and I'm afraid that as its annual cost has risen, its performance and overall security have fallen. There are other PMs that are better.

This piece of garbage app works well maybe 10% of the time which is not where it needs to be when you hold the keys to literally everything in my life. I've been trying to pay my credit card bill for the last hour and this is not unusual. I've been struggling to get anythign done for the last month at this point. I'm effing furious.

After a reinstall of system the last pass icon present a set percussion popup that can not be dismissed other than by escape. Every click on the icon result in the same pop up.

It has at times been a very good app, but for the last couple of months, it has been logging me out multiple times a day, despite my having all the auto log-out features turned off. I've been reporting the bug since I first noticed it, but the developers don't seem interested or capable of fixing it. The frequent malfunctions over the last few years preclude my going back to a paid subscription.

Update: I can't remember how I eventually fixed the many times a day logout issue, but I did eventually, no thanks to Lastpass. But now it's failing to even log in to my account, so it is entirely, literally useless.
