Autor: rr, 2 lata temuPicture this: You're deep in the digital trenches, eyes glazed, fingers scrolling ad infinitum, when suddenly, BAM! You hit the productivity wall erected by none other than LeechBlock. That’s right, that marvelous marvel of self-control, gatekeeping your brain cells from the endless abyss of Reddit's r/popular, with its siren call of cat videos and heated debates.
Good shit, good shit, that’s some good shit right there. If I do say so myself, I say so. The LeechBlock logo? A beacon of hope in the sea of procrastination, its minimalist design whispers sweet nothings of focus and discipline. It's not just a logo; it’s a badge of honor on your browser, a silent guardian watching over your dwindling attention span.
You thought you could outwit your own procrastination? Please. But along comes LeechBlock, with its unassuming elegance, slipping into your digital routine like a ninja in the night. 5 minutes on Reddit? Think again, pal. LeechBlock’s there, tapping its metaphorical watch with a smug, pixelated grin. "Time's up," it says, without saying a word, its logo a constant reminder of your pact with productivity.
And when it gently nudges you away from the cliff edge of another wasted hour with its “temporarily blocked” message, it’s not just blocking a page; it’s redirecting your life. That logo, a simple yet powerful symbol of regained control, a lighthouse guiding you back to the shores of Getting Shit Done.
So, when it says LeechBlock will always be free, but consider supporting its development? That's the least we can do. Throw coins at this digital deity, for it has bestowed upon us the greatest gift of all: the realization that, yes, we do have shit to do, and yes, we can actually do it.
In summary, LeechBlock’s logo isn’t just good shit. It’s the best shit. A minimalist masterpiece in the art of keeping us on track. Support it, cherish it, let it guide you through the treacherous waters of the internet. All hail LeechBlock, the unsung hero of our digital lives.

Practically every possible arrangement of options is on the table; the settings take a little bit of fiddling and figuring out, but the documentation is quite good, and although I haven't needed to use it I believe the support forum is also.
The only thing I haven't seen (which would just tickle my particular ADHD brain in the right way) is having the "time limit after which to block: x minutes in every Y hours" be a hard block, and a delayed block (for 60 seconds, say) before accessing it even for those X minutes!
Overall, I'm very grateful this exists. Thank you for working on it! I think it really helps a lot of people.
Looks as though some of the one-star reviews here relate to the author's view of the world. For what it's worth, I think I'd agree with people posting such reviews that the views they attribute to this extension's author should be addressed publicly, and that we should shout the more-caring and more-loving attitude louder than anyone else can shout their less-caring and less-loving views.
Still...reviews on a firefox extension are an odd forum to try to have that conversation, and more importantly than that, I think we can all agree that views like that don't change by one-off internet conversations. Views like that only change when the people who have those views are forced by circumstances to have close respectful relationships with people who suffer because of those views. - Ocena: 5/5Autor: Użytkownik Firefoksa 19551440, 13 dni temuExcellent extension for ADHD monkeys like me. Fine-tuning tips. Exceptions are supported.

The "Advanced Options" that allow you to block about:addons or about:config simply do not work on the Firefox Mobile app. On Android, the Add-on manager is part of the browser's native UI, not a web page that the extension can "hook" into. This means there is no way to prevent yourself from simply clicking the three dots and deactivating or deleting the extension whenever you feel a craving for YouTube or Instagram.
If you are like me and looking for a "hard lock" that you can't bypass by just deleting the addon, this isn't it for mobile. On a PC, you can use the password/USB-stick trick to lock yourself out of the settings, but on a Samsung or any other Android phone, the browser's own menu provides a permanent backdoor.
Pros: Same great filtering engine as desktop.
Cons: Cannot prevent deactivation/uninstallation on mobile due to Android Firefox limitations. - Ocena: 5/5Autor: inactive_user_3000, miesiąc temuExtremely helpful in order to prevent myself from doomscrolling randomly throughout the day. I feel like regaining active control of my consumption, given how interconnected social media and in general, highly addictive services are within the internet are. Although the interface is not particularly beautfiful, I recommend this to anyone willing to regain some control.

- Ocena: 5/5Autor: TheAnonymousAutist, 2 miesiące temuThis is a really good and effective extension for parents and children alike. I have never seen or heard of the functionalities of the extension, but it seems to be becoming a greater necessity for those with disabilities that have severe addiction on social media.
And it has a lot of potential to be a great extension made by a passionate extension developer that just wants the necessary freedom to make this very effective web blocker addiction extension.
As a superadapted Autistic person that already suffered dozens of obstacles for the past decade, this extension has to be the best extension for parental controls, website restrictions, locking down websites, and overall the least CPU-intensive web blocker extension.
And I hope that dozens of others with Autism - like me - to start adapting and using the extension on the most efficient way imaginable.
Your extreme levels of confidence and self-determination has made me download your extension because of your honesty and passion! And I have never seen a extension this extraordinary and well-made for combating major dangerous platforms out there.
Keep up the fight against major corporations!
And thank you for creating this extension, James!
You are extremely passionate and honest, and is willing to work with Mozilla for the future to come!
Keep that momentum up!
And be always confident on yourself.
And please make open-source surfing more popular again for the forseeable future!
Also, if you have ever heard about the Electronic Frontier Foundation, can you reach them out for a collabration on new extensions for the future?
That would have been amazing if you did that!
I already started blocking major platforms contributing to the majority of the internet dangers out there, making categories for addictive and dangerous platforms and websites alike.
And I loved your work and effort on this extension. Keep it up, man!

It has plenty of customization options and different block-sets so you can curate it in a way that works perfectly for whatever you need. I highly recommend this if you have any sort of trouble spending tons of time on sites when it could be spent better :)
