The permissions required are kind of an issue. Yes you can turn off the feature to search your browser history but access to your browser history is a "required permission" and you can't disable the permission.

If they moved this to the "optional permissions" and had it disabled by default then I would consider using it but that's a deal breaker on principle alone. Nefarious data collection is a serious issue these days. This kind of thing needs to be more transparent and more optional.

Leaving 1 star review until the need for 'access browsing history' permission is rolled back. I didn't ask for any features requiring that extremely invasive permission.

Started good, now, devs are power tripping.

This extension have absolutely no reason to ask for history, as it does on the 2025q4 update. This should be so that the browser control notification/multimedia. integration with the lame and useless "navigate to the web via the start button application search" that nobody liked in windows 11... i can't even reason properly to argument how dumb it is to copy the most hated feature from windows. sigh. Just roll that back and quit power tripping with lame features. Do another extension instead of screwing up the good, already accepted ones with anti-features nobody asked for.

Also, this is indeed becoming so anti-user it doesn't even link to the source anymore from here.

This extension heavely uses IPC calls, causing increased CPU usage (see bug #1701388, #1700200)

Causes memory leak that causes both plasma-shell and firefox to gradually use more and more memory. Uninstalling Plasma Integration in the browser fixed this. Within 3 days of use, both Firefox and plasma-shell take up 5~GiB of memory.

Kills all thumbnails on all browser windows by showing the video thumbnail and player controls - even on windows that have a different web page loaded, or even after you went away from the video onto another page. It can also not handle multiple tabs / windows with different videos.
In its current form a clear downgrade to the regular functionality of previewing the current webpage of the window.

Its not running on firefox 64 and Manjaro 18.0 - Kernel Linux 4.19.12 - Plasma 5.14.

Some sites like my e-news paper hang when I use the KDE integration. This was for me the reason to uninstall.
