- this is currently one of the best image translation extensions, and it’s far superior to other tools. I understand why you don’t allow personal API use, but it really is a feature worth having. Anyway, this thing is amazing, not perfect of course, but I hope it gets even better in the future
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por AzraelusGuy, há 13 diasAlright so I'm using this app for 2 weeks and must say that I'm impressed how intuitive it is ... but also a lot of useful tools makes it worth every cent!
Of course it won't work in 100% everytime-everywhere but this is a nitpick...
AND for those who think this should be free - it's a pipe dream... c'mon it got really user-friendly way of payment - no shady subscription but buying points that You can use as You see fit :)Resposta do desenvolvedor
publicado há 4 diasThanks a bunch! But I'm sure I'm going to keep getting stupid reviews from people who want everything to be free even when it's physically impossible. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por DER_ULTRA_HASE, há 19 diasActually works better than I thought. Works fast and automatic. I tried it with the sits NAVER korean to english and it worked great. It struggled however a bit with short impressions that however I think is because of the model I used
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Employee427, há 23 diasonly manga translator ive found that actually works correctly and isn't subscription based. translations on the lowest setting typically work, probably even better on the higher ones. developer provides good support if you have any issues.
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por MaitrePanda, há um mêsProbably one if not the best in browser translator for picture , yes it cost a bit if you want to read a lot of translated picture but the price is really small and its really easy to use , from when i write this review they are the only translator in picture and able to dl the modified picture , simply the best
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por SysGabriel, há um mêsThis works! I'm having a good time reading manga online without having to wait for scans to translate them. I wish the best for this team and it's extension. Great work guys.
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por IceNex7271, há 2 mesesHey another review guy here! but Seriously, before Torii Image Translator, getting through untranslated manga was such a chore. I used to do it all by hand with Tesseract OCR or other OCR services, and then I’d copy and paste it (obviusly also need to spend a bit of time correcting the formats of text order etc) into DeepL or google translate it took forever to clean it all up and get the formatting right. Each chapter was like, two or three hours of work, maybe more. Its really a total time sink. Now, though? I just drop the image files in and it does all the work for me. The translations are pretty cool too ,and it only takes a minute! It’s a total game changer. I really like how easy it is to use, and the translation quality is pretty nice too (honestly its very servicable and i didn't even use the top models since they use more credits deepseek is goat here for price/performance). I already picked up the 2000 (edit because i misremembered its not 2000 its 2500 credits instead!) credits for like 6 bucks, and it’s honestly good for its price. If you like untranslated comics or manhwa, or really anything with text in an image, you can use this!

publicado há 23 diasThank you for the lovely review! Sorry for not seeing it sooner. Please let me know if there's any way in which I can improve Torii even further! - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Furkan, há 4 mesesI'm writing this review after postponing it for a few months. I like the translations it offers. It's cheaper than others and provides usage proportional to what you pay. I bought a few golf balls and am using them. Even though free usage is limited, the prices are cheaper compared to a few others I've used, and it offers a wide range of languages. My only concern is privacy. Even if the developer says they don't store data, we can't be sure and have to trust them.
Wake up wake up wake up! - Avaliado em 5 de 5por PlanB, há 4 mesesIt works super well. I used to use Ichigo on Chrome before moving over to Firefox, but this one beats it in every single regard. Even the pricing is beyond reasonable.

publicado há 4 mesesWow, that's the best possible compliment I could hear! Thank you so much dude :D
Please join the discord server if you'd like to chat - maybe you have a cool suggestion or feature request you'd like to see implemented in Torii, and I can hear you out :) - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 18977037 do Firefox, há 4 mesesPretty much the best one straight Outta the box.
Would've been even cooler if I could also use my own api keys nglResposta do desenvolvedor
publicado há 4 mesesThank you kind user!
Torii currently doesn't support custom api keys. But I'll think about it :) - Avaliado em 5 de 5por panos, há 4 mesesSo the firefox extension works very well on a couple of manga websites I tested.
The choice of LLMs has increased and the brand new 2.5 flash has been added!
For manga reading the 2.0 is more than enough but I think that adding the image context option helps a lot.
For those who leave low star reviews because it's paid, please take into account that nothing in this life is free. This extension, apart from coding the extension itself, requires a service that runs in the background, and API calls to the LLM providers. All of these cost money, and you have to have the actual skills to do it. Most of the "low star because it's paid" reviewers have absolutely no idea how stuff work, could never do it on their own, and still expect it to be free.
Please appreciate the effort that has gotten into this, the ongoing running costs, the ease of use that it provides, which would be unimaginable a few years ago and the really really low amount of money it requires from the end user.
Google lens might be "free", but even if we don't consider the inconvenience, it feeds on your data, so it's not really free. Nothing in life is free. Perhaps the air we breathe, but I have doubts.
Great work stringie! I'd give 6 stars if I could.Resposta do desenvolvedor
publicado há 4 mesesI really appreciate your kind review panos. Means a lot to me to hear something nice, haha. For a moment, there was a streak of bad reviews and I got worried. I don't know why people aren't more reasonable with their expectations. I guess everyone is annoyed that everything in their life wants their money, which I understand. Still, it's very disheartening to hear bad reviews after putting a whole year's worth of effort into improving Torii. Nonetheless, I'll keep improving Torii to make it the best on the internet and hopefully there will be people like yourself who appreciate it. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Lnwmala, há 4 mesesI can confidently say that this is the best extension for translating text in images, and it is very accurate.
- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 18956531 do Firefox, há 4 mesesPeople who are writing poor reviews for something that requires payment for use are being quite inconsiderate of the developer. There are alternative addons that allow you to translate locally that are free... but this one provides translations using another method. This requires no knowledge of Python, hosting servers, or anything of the sort.
The translations are (usually) pretty good. The text is as impressive as a typical Google translate result... but what I'm more impressed about is it's ability to overlay the foreign text with the translated text. If you can afford 5 bucks for a good amount of translations... then I say it's worth the money.Resposta do desenvolvedor
publicado há 4 mesesHey, thanks a lot for coming to my defense :)
I don't really understand those people expecting everything in this world to either be free or unusable. The good things in life more often than not provide some value which doesn't come for free. People's labor needs to be rewarded for providing you with that value. High quality products cost money and should be fairly priced.
Also, I would say that Torii's translations are 10x better than the typical google translate result, haha. The reason is that Google's models are inferior to the modern capabilities of LLMs like GPT4 and Gemini, which is what Torii uses. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Usuário 15777154 do Firefox, há 10 meses
