However, it stopped working when I updated to firefox 52. For me it's no big deal, I have another computer where I will not be updating to firefox 52 (that's how much I like this add-on!), but I'm looking forward to a patched version, thanks!

If you have the issue of empty subtitle files, you need to start the video with the subtitles enabled before download. Other than that, the only thing I've encountered is no subtitle download for restricted videos (like videos that mention the topic of 'self-harm' for example.)
