My only suggestion/ask would be to return some sort of information/error code, etc. in the event that the install fails and/or an xpi file isn't forthcoming. Though, without any indication either way, the anticipation to gratification ratio is quite high when the user ultimately succeeds lol

- Avaliado em 5 de 5por phreich , há 7 mesesThanks for making a replacement for the now dead "chrome store foxified"!
It works great in Firefox Nightly (It can't work in regular Firefox due to Mozilla's restrictions). I used this to install the chrome add-on "Calendar Dark Mode", which turns on a dark mode for Google Calendar.
Pay special attention to this instruction in the "about this extension": "(Except for Floorp), value of xpinstall.signatures.required have to set false in about:config." This is required in order to install add-ons not in the addons.mozilla.org repository into Firefox Nightly. Since this is extension is only copying add-ons from the regular chrome repository, the risk is minimal. I would not recommend side-loading add-ons from an untrusted source.....
Usage is simple once it is installed:
1. In Firefox Nightly, go to the chromewebstore, and then go to the page for the chrome add-on you want to use in Firefox, and the "Add to Chrome" button is changed by this extension to "Add to Firefox".
2. Click on "Add to Firefox", and it should install the add-on in Firefox Nightly. It's that simple.
(Once the chrome add-on is added to Firefox Nightly, the button changes to "Remove from Firefox".)
Aside: It's kinda dumb that Google hasn't enabled a dark mode for Google Calendar. They have for gmail, but not for calendar. - Avaliado em 5 de 5por Vedun , há 8 meses
