por azure_orchid , há 7 anos This is my favorite dark mode add-on for Firefox (and Chrome) right now, but it still has some things to be desired, such as a time-based dark-mode, and the fact that it can't control the "theme" so the search bar is dark too, and things like that. Consequently this add-on pairs best with the stock Dark theme for Firefox, which is a bit bland to me. Also, this add-on (and the Dark theme) cannot affect the appearance of any sites core to Firefox like the Add-ons page (which makes sense from a privacy and security standpoint, but not from a user experience standpoint). I'd also like to have more control over the colors and adjustments than just sliders or CSS code or Toggle buttons. It would also be nice if it could darken the screen before a site loads because the flash of bright white after clicking a link is quite jolting and unpleasant.
Dark Mode for Chrome (and maybe Firefox?) has a lot more flexibility in that realm, but it's just not as quick or intelligent as Dark Reader.
Also some of my complaints are more at the way Firefox handles add-ons, so there's not a lot that the developers can do about those things.

- Avaliado em 5 de 5por WilsonBorkowski , há 3 diasThis extension is great. I had previously tried the Dark Mode by Bernard extension but was frustrated because it was either everything on or off. It was not easy to whitelist webpages and more often than not websites end up looking weird with dark mode applied to them. But this extension lets me set the site list to inverted listed only so by default it is off and only on for specific domains that I add. That's perfect for me because I would much rather add the few sites I actually want dark mode on than exclude every site where I don't like it.
- Avaliado em 4 de 5por QWERTY-AZERTY , há 6 diasGreat extnsion, but sadly, it slows down a lot of sites. it will work fine, but sites where you look at images slow down heavily. Other than that, it is a must have! ❤️

- Avaliado em 1 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 20043519 , há 15 diasIt pains me to rate it this low as I do love it, but with the last update it's now slowing down google docs to an almost unusable state. A shame, since it's the only reason I have this addon and until now it was seamlessly functional. Messed with settings but the only thing that fixes it is turning it off entirely. Using a mac.
- Avaliado em 4 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 20042870 , há 15 diasAlmost perfect. Occasionally, for unknown reasons, it gets turned off on some websites. Working through temporary blindness, I'll have to disable, then re-enable it for those sites.

- Avaliado em 3 de 5por boopysnoopy , há 19 diasFor whatever reason- despite having it configured to be "On", I've had to manually turn it on, aka go into the UI and click on the domain name to check it, for it to work.
Sounds like a minor issue. But I'll often not realize that I'm in light mode on a site especially when I'm getting tired. I wont realize that my eyes are straining, and when I do, I think: Monitor brightness is low, so what could it be?
...Ohhh, right. Dark Reader isn't doing anything again. Sigh
Anyways, is it really true that this addon is responsible for memory leaks? extensions are sometimes hounded by baseless accusations of malware and stuff, but its happening more and more often that extensions actually are the culprit behind browser performance issues - Avaliado em 4 de 5por hoangkamam , há 20 diassome sites with cloudflare protection can't verify human when Dark reader is on.
quick work around is temporary turn off and turn it back on after cloudflare verified.
