If you enable the option to add "Freeze Animation" to the context menu then you can right click the animation and disable it that way. But it only works on one animation so if you're on a page with multiple animations/gifs then you would have to disable each one by one which is tedious.
I want something that will disable all animations on the page with one click.
Edit: so the toolbar button does work but it doesn't stop the animations instantly. After you click the button you have to refresh the page. Similar addons didn't require this. And the Freeze Animation command stops the animation instantly so why do you need to reload the page? That's kinda annoying.Resposta do programador
publicado a há 2 anosThere is an option in the Add-on settings to aut-reload the page. It is disabled by default as this may be not what people expect. For example a unexpected page reload could cause data loss if you entered data in the web page. - Avaliado em 3 de 5por Peter Lyons Kehl , há 3 anosThank you. So helpful.
Please, add toggling per tab: https://github.com/M-Reimer/toggleanigif/issues/12. - Avaliado em 3 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 13339649 , há 6 anosTwo cons: works on (re)load, but not dynamically. At least needs a context menu option to run/stop individual gifs.
"Toggle Animated Gif" is overpromising features that are not implemented as such.Resposta do programador
publicado a há 6 anosIt uses a feature provided by the Firefox API which doesn't allow anything else but toggling. - Avaliado em 3 de 5por AddictedGamerSix , há 6 anos
