por Utilizador do Firefox 16003644 , há 6 anos I really like the add-on, it does exactly what it says it does, and does it very well. It gives sufficient controls to configure, and selectively customise or disable the add-on on specific websites.
That said, I disabled it today after trying it for almost 4 months. Sometimes it slows down webpages too much, specially long pages (e.g. Github's webhook payload docs page), pages with visualisations (plots and figures, e.g. the coronavirus monitoring page by worldometers), and sometimes login pages.
I also have a hunch it's causing the memory footprint of my FF instance to bloat. I have a really beefy laptop (>13 gigs of RAM available), and it still starts paging after half a day. I do have a lot of tabs open, but I didn't have this issue before. If I continue to have my RAM issues after disabling the add-on, I'll come back and remove this paragraph.
Edit: now I have been running with the add-on disabled for half a day, with the same set of tabs, and my memory footprint is about 1/3-1/4 as before. Really sad that I can't use this add-on, back to being blinded on the Interwebs :(

- Avaliado em 5 de 5por Utilizador do Firefox 18815035 , há 4 horasGreat full featured Dark Mode add-on that has been steadily improving over the years. It's not perfect, but it's very close and much better than other add-ons. The only thing better than this add-on is for the webpage itself to have a dedicated dark mode. But for the rest of the internet, this add-on is pretty solid.

- I expected something a bit better for something that has so many users. The auto-detection isn't very good, geeksforgeeks for example has a built in dark mode and instead of the extension being able to detect that it just implements its own dark mode which obviously isn't going to be as good. I get it, the websites that do that are poorly designed in that regard but that's what this extension is supposed to be for, websites with poor colour scheme design. Not to mention I tend to have a lot of tabs open so opening firefox can really make the fans spin for the first few seconds, they could probably only get it to run on active tabs.
And there are a few dark websites that it doesn't detect as dark which obviously messes with the readability and I didn't realise until I noticed some text was practically invisible. - Avaliado em 2 de 5por Ubirajara1000 , há 11 diasTem conflito com o site NotebookLM que faz desaparecer símbolos matemáticos e faz desaparecer caracteres também.

- Avaliado em 4 de 5por romiha , há 15 diasI love using Dark Reader - so much easier on the eyes. The only thing I don't like is how it slows down Firefox so much. I wish the creators could come up with a fix for that - I'd give Dark Reader 5 stars then!
