    Probably one of the best highlighter extensions that I've tried on Firefox so far. The issue I have with it is that it has a bit of conflict with more heavier web pages, causing certain web pages to boot up longer or even crash them all together.

    Since the developer replied that the questionable Mellowtel script is no longer used in this extension, I will give it another try. Four stars alone for rewarding a responsive and privacy-respecting developer.

    Hi Franz, you’re right – I was using the Mellowtel library in Web Highlights to support the environment by planting trees (more on that here: https://web-highlights.com/blog/planting-trees-worldwide-with-our-browser-extension/).

    That said, after some thought, I decided to remove the Mellowtel library as it doesn’t fully align with Web Highlights Privacy Policy. I am now exploring other ways to support the environment.

    Please try the new version – I hope you’ll enjoy using Web Highlights again.
