NOT WORKING as of 4/22/25
i love this extension, you can block shorts, block youtubers from feed, and auto-hide videos you've already watched which actually makes youtube usable. please update!!

A helpful addition would be the option to block shorts from specific channels instead of shorts from all channels(I didn't find an option like this yet)

You gotta add playlist blocking too but if you click on a playlist you don't see blocked videos with blocked words in the playlist so thats why i am giving 5 stars

That being said,a device sync feature would make this extension 1000x more worth it.

I can't view my own comments on youtube while this add-on is enabled. All other comments appear and my comments show on my comment history.

Saves my sanity on YouTube by letting me block the trash that spills into my recommended videos.

It is a MUST add-on for FF browsing YouTube.

Moreover, is it possible to add a custom feature for the context menu as I only use the "Block Channel" and would like to HIDE the "Block Video" key.

The block menu in YouTube became not reflect but it is still working overall.
Im confirming block by channel ID or video ID.

This working of the block is that when you try to access the video, a black screen appears, and when you try to access the channel, you will be redirected to YouTube Home.

I feel that the BlockTube of Firefox add-ons is more accurate, than Chromium browsers' extension of chrome web store.

Without this extension, we would look many awful/poor contents in YouTube.

Youtubeの仕様変更に伴い頻繁に使えなくなる事がありますが基本的にはアップデートでその都度対応してくれます。ですが241210現在の最新版は0.4.5ですがFirefox版は認証が下りないのか依然として0.4.4のままです。
→241214現在最新版の0.4.5に更新されました。以前のように正しく機能します。

I don't blame the developer(s) one bit, but my god I need somewhere to vent. I am so, SO tired of youtube and their efforts to get rid of adblockers, content blockers, alternate apps, pretty much anything that gives users more control over the shlt being forced down their throat.

Everything breaks constantly. This app breaks every few weeks after it's fixed, and STN for my TV breaks quite literally multiple times a day. Those devs have had to treat it like a full time job just to keep it working.

Google/Youtube puts this much effort into policing stuff like this but make ZERO effort to fix the problem on their end. All they care about is money.

I can't use it because when I activate this add-on getting "Ad blockers violate YouTube's Terms of Service" message

Absolutely goated addon, very useful!

Addon still works.
The button to block a channels stopped working.
BUT you can still manually add channels you want to block in the addon settings!
