I've had this for ages, initially it worked well, but in the last month or two it requires me to log in upto 10 times a day. It has no sound alert as it used to and no settings or studies buttons at the bottom just a blank area. In addition it stops checking with no warning and it can be quite a while before I find out by clicking on the icon that it hasn't been checking for hours. I've tried to reinstall it, but it is still the same. Please fix it Prolific!

The app is not so active in my Firefox not giving me notifications

Extension broke itself and had to reinstall. Loop of endless loading.

Notifications also do not show the pay rate for studies.

Now the extension doesn't work at all. While logged in clicking the extension opens a new window for a second and then closes it, with no effect. While logged out the window stays with the prolific login-page, however after logging in through that page we are back to step 1.

The update on 23rd of May 2024 appears to have broken audio notifications. No longer available in the settings and no longer working.

Been using Prolific for over a year now and the website is great. The extension for Firefox was fine and working well up until a couple of days ago. Firefox had an update that for some reason messed up my settings on the browser and I had to do a fresh install to fix everything. Since this, the extension is not updating and it shows "err" on the little icon. When you click on the refresh button, it won't refresh. I am missing out on studies because of this. Hopefully this can get fixed soon.

Practically useless, it does not refresh for hours at a time, and on the rare occassion that it does detect a study, even if you immediately go to Prolific the study is almost always already full.

It worked well until the last update. Since then it stucks, checks every 2 min, which is worthless, all studies are left with 1 or 0 remaining places.

No longer seems to tell you if there are surveys available. You have to actually be on the website for it to tell you at all. So, there is absolutely no point in downloading this addon. Seriously. Don't waste your time with this.

Running this on Firefox Ver 80.0 with a clean browser profile and I only have a ERR icon on the app.

It only stays logged in for an hour or so, then I get the red ! asking me to sign in again.

There seems to be a conflict with Prolific's new authentication flow (or something). It appears are experiencing this issue even without Prolific Assistant (PA) installed but PA seems to make it worse. Prolific is working on a fix on their end (asap but its the holidays so it may be slower than that). I'm closely monitoring for any updates on this and will add any fixes on my end if required.

Edit: This issue has been fixed by the Prolific team.
