Was great until a pop up just literally wouldnt close until I wrote this review. Uninstalling now. WTF

Got 1 star because of the silly popup begging for a review. I have Ghostery to stop that type of nonsense. Otherwise it seems to work reasonably well across OSes and browsers

app works great, but you keep giving me pop ups with a false X button asking me to write a review. Completely locks down my browser any time it pops up and i have to fully close firefox and restore my previous session in order to continue

Use to be really good, but now has Ghostery’s True User Agent that decides if it is going to pause Ghostery on a website or not. And there is no way to turn that off. That totally circumvents the very reason it exists in the first place.

Ich weiß nicht was ich falsch mache, aber stattdessen, das es alle Cookies deaktiviert akzeptiert Ghostery alle Cookies und sorgt somit für alles andere als für ein "datenschutzorientieres" Surfen. Darum habe ich es wieder deinstalliert und mach die Einstellungen eben wieder manuell aber sicher so wie ich sie haben will.

Personally I've seen 0 difference in pop ups since I got this...
If it keeps websites from tracking me, good, but its inefficiency with the one thing it promotes doesn't reassure me. I was looking for an ad blocker when I downloaded it, so that's still not done...

Ghostery worked flawlessly for eight years, prohibitinig all ads from even appearing on my AOL email account.

Then last week, constantly-changing ads began showinig up above my emails.

I contacted Ghostery and sent several requested screenshots of my email page and the ads themselves and waited for a reply, ideally a fix to block all those ads. Since then, I've been ignored.

Ghostery, I believe a response is in order.
