Honey does *a lot* of bad things, it even sends the URL of the site you're visiting to their servers (and I've been warning folks about that for years!).

CardPointers does everything differently from that, it does all domain lookups locally and only sends data about your specific offers (and nothing else sensitive) when you choose to do so.
