It works. Sometimes for days, sometimes for hours, sometimes only until you scroll to the next video.

But it's never persistent.

Tried it and it knocked all sound out. No sound what so ever. May have tremendous potential and I hope they keep working on it! We need something that can keep volume the same, for example, between a life insurance commercial, and then the next thing is is a video about blowing up buildings. Keep at it, guys.

guess it only works for the sites listed. useless for a lot of media sites, watching videos. what's the point if it's only for social media?

Genau so was hatte ich gesucht - aber leider macht es jede Menge Sachen, die es nicht soll. Youtube: Als erstes änderte es mitten im Video die von mir eingestellte Auflösung. Als nächstes wollte ich das Video auf Twitter teilen - ging nicht mehr. Die "Teilen" Box wurde einfach nicht fertig geladen, es kam nur ein graues Rechteck und dieser Warte-Kringel. Die Teilen-Funktion von Youtube funktionierte erst wieder, nachdem ich dieses Add-on deaktivierte. An der Stelle reichte es dann. Sorry, aber in dieser Form unbrauchbar.

Sound level is totally different in usual mode and in time while mouse L button is in holding state.

It allowed me to turn the volume down, but when I tried to turn it back up, it didn't change. I could turn it down further and further all the way to off, but never could get sound back. Had to uninstall.

Nope, doesn't work per-tab or per-website. Just on a global basis, which is what I didn't want.
