Used to be a must have but it's in dire need of updates. It messes with Pocket tube. "Hide explore, Trending" in particular. Last update was in 2024.

Needs an update. Some of the toggles hide the wrong thing.

YT has changed and the hide Explore option now hides the You (history, playlists, watch later) section. Needs an update as YT has remixed the backend a bit.

Most other features still work, but I really need all features to work.

Was good but now features started to not work. In need of an update.

Some of the features work however one of the more important ones of hiding annotations doesn't seem to work. I'm still constantly turning that off manually. ex. YT at VSeFUFWXoZA ca. September 12, 2025

Sadly, it broke PocketTube. It removes its section from YouTube sidebar for some reason.

I hope you can fix it.

This add-on works well but I wanted to make it hide shorts in my subscriptions, and noticed it isn’t feasible… so I want to head to GitHub and… oh wait, it’s actually not OpenSource!

And even more: the license explicitly restricts any possibility to check what this extension actually does. Really sus.

I’ll switch to code4charity’s Improve YouTube extension then.

I recently couldn't figure out why YouTube videos were taking so long to begin playing (I'm talking 30-60+ seconds). It wasn't my internet (high speed) nor my computer (buffy gaming computer) that was the problem. The video would load just fine when it actually started to play, but it took forever for it to buffer enough to start to play the video. I would often have to refresh the page when the video would seemingly freeze in infinite buffering.

Turns out, it was this extension all along, even though I ONLY used it to remove the trending page tab on the sidebar. How exactly does removing a tab in the sidebar even affect playing a video at all?
