Works as intended, but ended up disabling it when I discovered it is the reason that Firefox is never idling. So I have many tabs, and this plugin is always keeping 10% of the CPU busy (2 processes at 5% each). Disabling the plugin makes the problem go away. My version is 1.0.7.

The workaround mentioned in the FAQ did not work: count only active tabs setting did not make a difference for me.

The reason mentioned in the FAQ for this behaviour is:

> LeechBlock reviews all open tabs every second, to keep track of how much time is spent on the sites listed in your block sets and to determine whether any sites should now be blocked.

I do not need this "feature", I just want to disable access to certain websites from 9 to 5. Since I can't disable the feature, I had to disable the addon and search for a simple one.

the absolute best! Works for everything, the configuration is a little bit confusing so I don't have time limits or the thing where you get a certain amount of unblocked time every week which would be cool but that's because im too lazy to configure it and because honestly just turning it on and off alone is such a game changer I haven't really needed to sort the rest out. Thank you so much!!!!!

Very robust and effective extension!

My only issue with it is that blocking a site overnight is harder than it needs to be, since the block time range only works if the second number is larger than the first.

That means setting 23:00-5:00 doesn't work, and you have to do both 23:00-24:00 and 00:00-5:00 instead. It works fine, but it sometimes says that the page will be unblocked at midnight even though it'll be immediately blocked right after.

After testing so many different distraction reducing apps, extensions, etc, this is the by far the best one i have found on any platform. It is incredibly detailed and customisable, with a focus mode (lockdown mode), different block sets, time based blocks, usage limit based blocking, customisable overrides (including limits on the duration and number of overrides), blocking pages, and so much more. My only wish is they turn it into an android app with similar functionality!

I find that this extension is very helpful for keeping myself from going to time-wasting websites while working on class assignments. The lockdown function is very useful.
