Cannot reply from alias. I recommend using SimpleLogin instead. It's an open source email alias service.

Please note: this add-on is an experimental, invite-only alpha release. The source code is available at https://github.com/mozilla/fx-private-relay and we have an issue filed to add reply functionality: https://github.com/mozilla/fx-private-relay/issues/99

This is cool. Today I was forced to create an account for academia.edu to download a paper I needed. The combination of private-relay and FireFox's password generation made this trivial and I was then able to easily turn off forwarding when they started to email me. And if I ever go back, I still have those credentials available if needed.
