How do you change the robotic voice?

terrible, it mispronounces words, skips entire sentences and even make weird or inappropriate sounds halfway through reading. if 0 stars was an option, i'd choose it.

Katastrophe. Egal ob man eine männliche Stimme oder weibliche Stimme aussucht, es klingt alles irgendwie gleich, es klingt wie "Roboter" von der Band Kraftwerk.

I can no longer use the extension. The same error always occurs when I want to have a text read out to me, the text is not read out with the Google Translate voice. Even the update from 07.05.2025 has not fixed this problem. I was always enthusiastic about this extension, but I have been thinking about deleting it from Firefox since the beginning of 2025.

Great if you are looking for a megaphone emoji for your toolbar. Useless if you are looking for a TTS that is understandable. Also, doesn't even consistently work.

So hard to believe that in 2025 this is the best we can do for TTS? Has not improved in 20+ years. Embarrassing.

Please right click the Read Aloud icon and choose Options, then you can choose from a variety of voices, including the new Piper voices powered by machine learning.

Just robotic terrible voice which is there whatever I choose, reinstalling ... nothing works!! awfull
