I have used this one for years, and always worked like a charm, with a few exceptions. Sadly the few exceptions are getting worse over the years, getting more websites where the addon is making the background darker, but doesn't create any contrast with the foreground. Making important icons or even text go nearly invisible.

Changing the filters does a lot, but it never seems to fix that specific issue when I reach a website that has this problem. Requiring me to turn it off more and more.

One issue that is more problematic, is that with the default filter, the one that actually works best 95% of the time, is that thumbnail images move from their original location, and hyperlinks in dropsdowns are covered in dot of multiple colours. Toggling another filter fixes this.. but doesn't help with the rest of the website.

I hope this issue can be fixed soon'ish, this is my go-to extension on any Firefox I use.

Absolutely fantastic addon that has worked on every single site I've thrown at it. The only downside is a bit higher resource usage than I'd like but it's bearable on my more modern systems. Mobile and lower end devices? Dark Reader makes the browser chug.

Very useful.
