— Uporabnik Firefoxa 17416689, pred 4 letiWith respect to functionality the add-on works generally very well. Unfortunately, even with newest versions of Firefox, listing open port connections still shows several open connections from the keepassxc-proxy add-on to sites like googleusercontent.com, cloudfront.net, amazonaws.com and akamaitechnologies.com. Developers claim that this is a bug in Firefox beyond their control, however, the open ports are reported specifically for the keepassxc-proxy process, not for the parent firefox process. This behaviour is not particularly trust inducing.

objavljeno ob pred 4 letiThis is not the first time this issue is mentioned. And still, it is a Firefox issue. Native Messaging launches a child process from the browser, and for some reason Firefox also copies the socket handles to the child process. Because of this the proxy shows connections to locations it doesn't have an access to. Some of the handles can be connections that are already terminated. The only thing the proxy does is listening for stdin and connecting to a local Unix socket by KeePassXC. Anyone can take a look at the source code and verify this, or compile a build manually where the problem still exists.

Then open it. Prompt me for the database password. Why can the DB be opened on demand to retrieve passwords, but not to save them? I should not be expected to keep my database open all the time. That is an obvious security vulnerability. So I have it configured to close after 30 seconds. I do not understand why this Addon is so hostile to on-demand database access.Odgovor razvijalca

One remark: though firefox now honors XDG config settings in $HOME/.config/mozilla/firefox (on Linux) the extension creates a $HOME/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts. I'd like so see all config for an application on one single place only. - Ocenjeno z 5 od 5— Uporabnik Firefoxa 12539057, pred enim mesecem

objavljeno ob pred enim mesecemActually there's already pull requests made for a websocket connection mode in both extension and KeePassXC. It works with Flatpak browsers. So it's coming :) - Ocenjeno z 5 od 5— Matthieu, pred 2 mesecema
- Ocenjeno z 1 od 5— Abdiel, pred 2 mesecemaIt only has offline support. On Linux the configuration is a mess. Sometimes It doesn't talk with my desktop app. Remote support should also be added, so 1 star. I also noticed this while using it: not everything is handled within the browser. When the master password is requested, It switches to the KeepassXC desktop window which makes the experience less convenient. MasterPassword could instead be entered through a small pop-up inside the browser. This is what I would have preferred.

objavljeno ob pred 2 mesecemaThe whole idea of the extension is that it talks to the desktop app. It has no direct connection to your database, and it will never ask your master password. - Ocenjeno z 5 od 5— toorootoot, pred 2 mesecema

I know this depends of Keepassxc development, but it would be nice if card info can be stored. - Ocenjeno z 5 od 5— elsenfox, pred 5 meseci

Daher kann ich ebenso schnell und gut aus KeepassXC kopieren und einfügen und brauche mich nicht mit diesem AddOn herumschlagen; leider!
