Instead of ignoring links to ads they need to be downloaded as usual. And then simply not shown. How hard would that be? Stealth!
Too many sites seeing an ad-blocker in place and refusing to let you continue until you turn it off.

there is some weird symbol, a circle with a line in it at the top. I hover and submenu pops: CLICK to disable... CTRL+CLICK to....etc...
The thing changes color. I have NO IDEA what the the gray color means. I have NO IDEA what the BLUE COLOR means.
Below is says "requests blocked" followed by some numbers. THAT DOESN'T CHANGE whether I'm blocking or not.

It's like it's overly simplified and the understanding for what's what is lost. Since it's efficient and does take very little from cpu etc, I hope for more clear user pedagogy.
