How is it that YouTube can ruin viewers while supporting a p3do.

As of Sep 6 this add-on prevents any site from loading in my browser.

It's completely broken. After 30 seconds no data from any website can be loaded and my CPU goes into into overdrive. The second I disable Ublock the temp drops rapidly and everything starts loading again. Tested multiple times. Was great while it lasted but it is unusable in it's current state.

no longer blocks adds on TWITCH as of 05/15/25. That was by far its most useful feature. How can they go over a month without updating it??? Sad.

Suddenly got the "adblocker not allowed" popup on Youtube again! Only a matter of time until those mo**ns at Youtube lock the website again!

Was a perfect 5 til today. not working on youtube again. Ill change back to a 5 when fixed otherwise awesome extension. ty

On May 4, 2025, Raymond Hill, the lead developer of uBlock Origin, removed Ukrainian filters from the regional section without any explanation. These filters were created by Ukrainians for Ukrainians, and were developed and optimized with attention to each individual website in the Ukrainian segment of the internet. They were highly effective in blocking ads, phishing, and other unwanted content on Ukrainian sites.

Instead, they were replaced by Russian filters (RU AdList and the so-called "Ukrainian" filters from the Russian company AdGuard). These are overloaded with blocking rules tailored for the Russian web (Runet) rather than the Ukrainian segment. I don't even understand why AdGuard labels them as "Ukrainian regional" when the only thing Ukrainian about them is the name, while the filters themselves are clearly made for the Russian region.

Moreover, these Russian filters are of very poor quality and ineffective at blocking ads, phishing, and other threats on Ukrainian websites. Literally, after the first attempt to use these filters, I started seeing ads for online casinos and other garbage right away.

To make things worse, these Russian filters contain politically motivated blocklists — they block absolutely all Ukrainian charity foundations individually.

As a Ukrainian user, I am outraged by the developer’s position.
