Our CISO at work has made an effort to block outbound VPN connections, but Windscribe connects to any endpoint I wish as easily as if my PC were in the DMZ. Same for many restaurant hot spots, schools, medical offices, etc. I love that Windscribe automates connections using several different protocols and encryption methods, and I can secure my browsing from meddling network admins as easily as pressing the "On" button.

It was a pain to browse even simple news websites containing mostly text. Then there's the fact that the addon says upon initialization that it uses Ublock which I already have, and that using both simultaneously is not recommended. On disabling Ublock origin, I got ads on YouTube. I couldn't find the setting that allowed me to use my old ad blocker instead of Windscribe's built in one that only seems to work with the VPN on.

Would be better if there was more than 10gb on the free tier, but nonetheless, this addon has a lot of extra options for tightening privacy and also there are free servers in many countries!
