However, it seems that since Firefox version 153.0.1, released on July 28, 2026, the “Translate Page" feature no longer works on YouTube. Now, the “Translate Page” feature forces a new tab to open with no text (only the video is visible), and the URL of this new tab looks like this: [Sorry, I can't type an URL since AMO refuses]

I close that tab and try again, and every time it opens this new, non-functional tab (with no text to translate).

I’d like to clarify that the feature I’d like to restore is page translation as it has always worked: IN the active tab, not in a new, non-functional tab.

I thought about trying “Translate the page via the Google Translate website,” but I get the same result.

It seems that S3.Translate with Firefox 153.0.1 can no longer translate the current tab.

As far as I know, I haven’t changed anything in Firefox in the last few days — no new add-ons, no new settings. I just accepted the 153.0.1 update from July 28.

The problem occurs on YouTube as well as on Instagram.
It doesn’t occur on “regular” web pages like Wikipedia, The Independent, IMDb...

Been using this for longer than I can remember and it's so helpful. But for the last year or so it's caused the romaji from google translate to no longer appear. weird

More than 7 days for review by Firefox moderators. Come on please update.

It was good to translate, now an error message has appeared for 3 days "unable to connect to the server".
The last update September. 2022, this time I believe that it is definitely finished for this very practical extension.
I will find another extension.

Casi excelente, pero hay dos grandes pegas las cuales, para mí, le restan estrellas, aunque no podría dar menos de 4*.
El botón de "Ocultar «panel de google» de la página traducida" ya no oculta/contrae la molesta barra blanca de traducción. Esto no ocurría en versiones anteriores como la v6.19.
También sería de agradecer poder traducir texto en cualquier página Web (en el cuadro de traducción, no texto de la misma página). De momento no se permite ni en esta página de mozilla.org así como en páginas abiertas por extensiones.
Sería de 5* si estas dos cosas mencionadas anteriormente se corrigieran.
Mil gracias por haber estado tantos años y seguir estando hoy ofreciendo este gran servicio a todos los usuarios de Firefox que, por desgracia, cada vez somos menos.

There's a bug that opens the Google Translate page every time you ask to translate the whole page. Other than that, awesome add-on.

This is a great translation addon. But there is a little bug. The Google Translate webpage keeps popping out. Could you please fix it? Besides, why https webpages can not be translated automatically? Could automatic translation be realized for https webpages? Thank you!
