    The Dev tried to push a little e-beg window into his app which caused a lot of negative reviews. The Dev lost their mind and started replying and arguing with EVERYONE in the comments who was upset with the change and left a comment about his extension.

    The Dev messed up big time in how he implemented this ad and how he is responding to the negative feedback. I removed the extension because the Dev appears to be really unstable and not untrustworthy. He even responded to this comment below blaming everyone else but himself. If he has this much of an ego I would be afraid of what he might do and don't want him to have access to anything on my machine.

    I was arguing with people who can't read - like geniuses who decided that the extension is paid now. (i.e. missed the point that all the features that existed before - are still free, and only the new, advanced features are paid, and used to cover the cost of running a free service for 20 million users.

    I know everyone's gotta eat and nothing is truly free, but the way the large advertisement is implemented is obnoxious at best. I'll be uninstalling for the time being.

    This extension is trying to monetize showing one bit of useful information on the page with intrusive ads and a premium tier.

    Stay away. Tries to scam you with a $5 / month premium subscription. Greedy.

    Monetization is needed, among other things, to pay for operating the extension.

    Only advanced new features are paid - what you had for free is still free, and will always be free

    All other extensions\apps with dislikes are using my API - with the api dying due to lack of funds - all other apps will die as well.

    Unfortunately the extension requires quite a large database (~15TB) serivng 20 million unique daily users (chrome is not the only platform) - and it costs money.


    The idea behind paid features was also to cover the costs (since donations became smaller than the hosting costs). Without bothering free users too much.

    The iffy "Premium" ad this has on the Chrome version is incredibly off-putting. If that's the direction this add-on goes in aka locking key features behind a paywall - I'll remove this. I do get that an add-on like this can be pricey to maintain but this could have been handled better imo.

    I no longer trust the developer after an intrusive advertisement was added. I am going to find another way to view dislikes or none at all.

    Yeah, sorry about that. The changelog tab was supposed to be shown on browser restart - i.e be much less intrusive.

    Dodgy shenanigans are going on with this extension for Chrome, with pop under adverts for some "premium" scam. Lost all trust in it and the developer, so removing from all browsers on all devices.

    Chrome users just beta tested it for Firefox. Hopefully will go smoother here.

    There hasn't been a public API for pulling official numbers for years now. These apps just invent fake numbers based on extrapolations from the tiny minority of people that install the apps, which self-selects for a sad, dislike-obsessed population of people, skewing the numbers more negative than they actually are.

    Suddenly stopped working for no reason. Toggling the extension/reinstalling does nothing.

    Doesn't work, constantly glitches and breaks YT. Often shows you removing a dislike when disliking a video. Just flat out doesn't work.
