Even the desktop downloader doesn't work with youtube age restricted content lame addon really

Worked great for a week for me. Now most of the time I get an error message or sometimes it just goes back to where to put in the URL code. But a lot of the time the download fails part way through. Like I said it worked great the first week and then in the last couple of days stopped working. This was one if not the second to last downloader that worked from Mozilla but now only VideoDownloadHelper is the only one that works now. Sad.

This reply is for HumboldtGirl. If you would stop "lyfao" , "get over yourself" and do just the tiniest bit of research, you would find that it is absolutely possible to download YT videos right now!

I don't know how this extension works as I've not had a chance to try it, yet, but I do download YT videos nearly everyday. And no, I don't have a YT premium account, which is just one way to download YT videos.

Did you even bother to test this extension, or did you just make a blanket statement because you think you know the answer? Do the research. Find out the actual answer. It's quite different from what you posted.

Note: After testing this extension, I can say that the extension itself doesn't work for me. When you tap the Download button, it tells you exactly that and why.

But, it does offer a different way to download YT videos using a website, within the extension. There's a button for desktops and one for phones. Unfortunately, they don't work, either.

The button for phones does absolutely nothing. It shows a completely blank page. The desktop button at least loads a web page, within the extension, but as I said, it still doesn't work.

However, at the top of the page that loads, in a big red box, it gives you a URL to a web page that opens in your browser, and it DOES work. I was able to download YT videos quite easily.

It's worth noting that when you click on either the desktop or the phone download buttons, you may have to restart your browser in order to get out of the extension and back to your browser. But, it's a very small price to pay to get the URL to the page that downloads YT videos.

I'm on an Android phone using Firefox for Android. Your mileage may vary.

OK people 🙄 lol good grief. Just take it off. We haven't been able to download YT videos for a long time now. Duh. Get over it. Darn I'm surprised that the majority of people thought they could override somehow an download them anyways 🙄 omfg duh! Lmfao
