On some sites, it stuggles to load the dark, so for several seconds the page is totally white, and we gradually seen the dark coming gradually from the top to the bottom.

If in Google Docs, it inverts imaged no matter what settings you activate. Otherwise, works pretty well!

Even with this latest version, when enabled, other extensions stopped working. I had to disable/remove this extension in order for other extensions to work

I've had good experience with this up until late, where Dark Reader is severely slowing down my browser, frequently, spanning across multiple completely different websites. Turning dark reader off immensely speeds everything up (especially when resizing windows or on sites like rotatingsandwiches.com) and sometimes firefox even warns me that dark reader is slowing firefox down. Hope they fix the performance issues

Gut aber frisst viel zu viel an System Ressourcen und macht alles langsamer. Manchmal laden Webseiten ewig, so dass ich mir lieber Weißlicht ins Gesicht strahlen lasse anstelle wie DFÜ Zeiten zu warten

I really, really, really wish I could rate it higher. Prior to November/October this would easily be a 4 or 5 star rating. Since then, however, there's been noticeable slowing in my system to the point that I can't use FF while this extension is enabled. I don't know if this add-on changed or if FF did, but I went from using this extension 24/7 to only using it when my eyes are really hurting and, even then, while needing to weigh out what speed I need pages to work at. The extension has crashed my browser multiple times and has been a disappointment since. I'll amend this if it's fixed, but for now I can't recommend this extension :(

Super schön, aber sehr Ressourcen-hungrig. Habe mich für eine andere Dark Erweiterung von Mikhail Khvoinitsky entschieden, die genauso 1A funktioniert. Die hat zwar nicht soviel Einstellmöglichkeiten, sie ist nicht sonderlich aktuell, aber die Webseiten sehen alle identisch dunkel aus (im Vergleich zur dieser hier) und ich habe weniger Ressourcenverbrauch.

I *really* want to like this extension. It's got a lot of promise. But it's a huge resource hog, at least on my system. I have to fiddle with it on any site with even slightly fancy styling, so I can't really justify the performance dip. I tried switching to a CSS injector with some basic rules and it was more reliable and efficient than this. I hope (and have faith) that'll one day change, but for now I can't use this.

Good, but I noticed a bad thing, which is that the sites do not work well while activating the dark mode or your extension, and this is really bad that I do something for the comfort of my eyes and then I find errors in the extension and the sites do not work well at all, especially the sites that do not provide the dark mode within them, and as for those that provide the dark mode, a strange rejection occurs. I hope to fix it. Thank you.

This extension makes the web unbrowsable. Have been trying on and off for a couple years, but the amount it slows down the browser is insane, and even sometimes the entire browser freezes up. Problem solved by uninstalling.

Its good but it left code everywhere behind the scenes when i copied things. So i had to delete it all and take it off my extensions. Otherwise did what it was supposed to do.

Lags my browser and crashes the system. My pc runs heavy rendering and computational programs easily but for some reason this add-on is what brings it down to its knees. Unfortunate, as I quite enjoy the functionality.
Ubuntu 24.04

Works great in Chrome, but is very problematic in Firefox. Works only partially on a many sites, requiring the extension to be turned off and back on for settings to take effect. On many sites, this has to be done on every page.

Works, is very customizable, but it's SO resource heavy. I can't use it on a lower-end computer or even on my decent mid-range phone.

What was once a great extension, is no longer working as seamlessly as it did before the "renovation". I am now constantly having to adjust the settings to get the proper page representation. And even then I'm not getting the type of page I use to get. Where it just use to happen. Not any longer.

Now I'm in constant search for another extension that will work as it should and give you a properly adjusted dark page like DR use to.

Doesnt work on all sites

It slows the overall search and browsing experience plus it delivers half baked output until we refresh the page again and again. I wish it was much faster in response and provides seamless experience.
