This extension works wonderfully and has made my experience a lot better overall, but there are a few problems to be mindful of before you install:
1) It doesn't work on the end screen video wall and YouTube seems to prioritize showing you whatever you're trying to block. I got the same video four(!) times in a row on mine when it only ever showed up on my homepage before. Blocking it entirely is a must.
2) Something about how this extension blocks videos seems to make YouTube think you're engaging with them, so expect your algorithm to get noticeably worse. For example, after I blocked spiders, I started getting an influx of videos about other bugs with less than pleasant thumbnails, so I've had to start blocking a bunch of other bug-related keywords too.
Other than that, it's very intuitive to use, convenient, and helpful! I recommend it.

Regarding your experience and feedback with time all these bugs will go away.

I am solo dev working on it so it will take a while to stabilize this for each surface precisely sorry for that.

Moreover almost each month YouTube updates and introduce new behaviors so I have to tackle that first on priority. Regarding the second point I will investigate it more I recently have tighten the logic which have slowed the extension browser behavior a bit but I am improving on it.

Moreover the mobile apps are complete for iOS and Android and are in final testing.

Meanwhile you can install on you Android device from tomorrow from the FilterTube.in website.

Doesn't work on Firefox mobile unfortunately

Edit: developer says Android mobile should be working soon, I'm looking forward to it and will update my review when it's ready

It is working on Edge Canary but with some lag.

But Mobile apps are ready and currently in Play Store testing review for Android and for iOS it is almost built final polishing is going on.

By the end of this month you can seamlessly use FilterTube in Mobile and Tablet.

and I am also trying to get the TV app in the same timeline.

Thankyou so much the Andorid and iOS app will be released soon.

I am making the Andorid app available by tomorrow on website and GitHub :)

Great extension unlike many others this one actually works without many issues sometimes it messes up home feed, though it may have been fixed by the latest updates haven't happened for a time, one thing i don't like is addon pop-ups telling me to refresh etc. other than that it is perfect, thank you and good job developer.

Unlike all the others, this extension actually works for me (in 2026) in hiding videos on YouTube. Would recommend.

So far so good.

It's working well with 2 caveats which both involve the Mobile version of Youtube (m.youtube).

Using the browser on the phone instead of the app is better than using the mobile app.

Caveat 1.) Sometimes blocked channels show up, but just a quick reload and it's all fine.

Caveat 2.) No ability to block a channel on mobile. The Menu dots do not have the option to ad to the filter. I have to jump onto the computer and manually ad some of the channels to the filter.

This extension is 100% on my recommend.

I say use this, in combination with Sponsor blocker, Custom Scripts, and a couple of other extensions to make Youtube on Mobile browser the *superior* version of Youtube.

This extension alone is already superior to Youtube's "Do not recommend" feature. It basically does the job of the official option but it actually works.

Regarding the Caveats I will fix them I didn't got much time to test on Phone I did noticed the lack of 3 dot UI but was focused on optimization challenge.

I will fix these caveats and will further make mobile version better.

so far it works perfect, better than the old blocktube in most aspects.

the only thing it's lacking at the moment is a way to import blocked sites from a list. i have a long list of channels and adding them one by one in each computer would be exhausting.

thanks for this indispensable extension.

I have just added the Import feature and it is approved you can now import the list and do let me know if the list is exported from other extension(which is supported) or is a text file?

I have tested mine but let me know if something problematic happens :)

Not the hero we deserve but the hero we need, this extension is awesome and much smoother compared to other filters. The UI is really user friendly, keep up the good work!

I know it is still not fully functional specially on Watch Page but I have implemented it and only Playlist videos are having a minor bug.
