Thank you for using Page Sidebar and for your 4 star rating.
There is already an option to keep the last opened tab. See in the Page Sidebar Options page -> Basic tab -> Start page -> When closing the sidebar, it will save the current URL. Upon reopening the sidebar, the last accessed URL will be loaded automatically.

In the Page Sidebar Options page, you can choose your search engine to Google, Bing, DuckDuck Go, Baidu, and Yandex.
