від SweepsGuyWinner, 8 років томуThis Is Fantastic! This Is Awesome! I'm a Sweeper and I enter over 600 Dailys, but I also need to monitor 1000s of sites for changes to find more sweeps to enter. So far I have tested with approximately 100 sites, waited 24 hours and sure enough-Update Scanner detected a change on every page. The affect on the browser resources is unnoticable, even though this is Firefox.
I highly recommend this add-on to everyone.
What I would like to see in future releases:
-Sorting
-Adding New items directly to Folders
-Duplicate detection
-Set Global Settingsas well as Individual Settings

I am receiving error messages or no textual content at all from
Active Server Pages(asp) when using Update Scanner. Examples include:

OK, I believe in my extreme use I should expect a hit on resources and performance
to Firefox. So I now am requesting additional features:
-Run when the browser is idle
-A Pause option, instead of having to Disable
I highly recommend this add-on to everyone.

- Оцінка 3 з 5від TFLS, 10 місяців томуThis would be 5 stars, but reducing the rating as time marches on. Development was abandoned 5 years ago. Over time more sites break and show blank pages. As Firefox moves away from open source, it's what you should expect.

I don't experience the problems others are referring to. So, this remains one of my favourite addons, and the main reason for staying with FF. Just wished a Chromium version would exist

- Оцінка 1 з 5від William_H, 2 роки томуUsed to work like a charm, and for some sites it still works. But most of the time it doesn't work anymore, and you just see a blank page without the changes visible.
When you visit the Github page of this project, you see why, the add-on isn't maintained for a long time (almost 5 years) and the developer says he is not able to maintain it anymore.

As many others say, it would be nice to be able to set a shorter than 5 minute refresh time when you have system resources to spare and want to be first to a site change. It integrates with Notification Sound (another Firefox add-on) so that it plays a sound, and you can choose a nicer one from C:\Windows\Media. It would be cool if it would also send notification emails, or integrate with a future "Notification Emails" (which does NOT exist) since the site I am following is updated at midnight and my PC is a long way from my bed. It does not let us choose a part of a page so pages that have changing adverts are fraught. Fortunately that does not apply to me. All in all, a very nice extension which provides functionality that you would have to pay for from update notification website services. Thank you Sneaky Pete.
