- The 3 websites a day is abysmally low to be of any real use. And considering how many websites an average person visits a day, even 10 times that much might not cut it.
I despise subscriptions in general, and $30 is way too much for what it does. I'm not against paying, but if it were like $10 then I might have considered it. But as it stands, it's too much (for me).
PS: remember that not everyone lives in a "first world" country, so the value proposition changes depending on where you're from.
Hi. Thanks for your review. We will be changing the limits to 40 sites a week. Please notice that not all websites people visit a day will show banners. Mostly only new websites.
We have dynamic pricing for iOS subscriptions and will do the same for desktop subscriptions. Feel free to email @ hello@super-agent.com and I can offer you a discount. The extension has a lame subscription model now that's unreasonable to pay for. Uninstalling, do better devs.
Edit: increased to two stars after reading dev's responses to past people, I still don't want to use this since I dislike subscription models and want to stand on principal, but I can understand the dev's reasoning somewhat.
Hi. 1$ seems pretty reasonable.
Edit: You are free not to want to pay, it is understandable. I just don't see how that justifies giving low reviews to every extension that is not free. Does that mean I should pay developers out of pocket? That people should work for free? Subscription business model slop. Boo. I would have purchased it if it was single-payment, developers have gone mad with subscriptions. Boo. Switching to Consent-O-Matic.
Suddenly started charging a ridiculous rate for what was free. It is one thing to charge for your work - it is another thing entirely to suddenly switch to a paid model with zero transparency. The website for this extension doesn't mention anywhere that it is NOT FREE, nor does the extension page on the store. I will no longer be using this as a result

How is 1$ a month a ridiculous rate? And how is it not transparent? We literally informed all users via a pop up notification. The website mentions the price, so does the extension page. You can still downgrade to a previous version to avoid paying. I don't see how could this be more transparent.
How would you suggest we charge for our work then?

We only show a pop up once every 15 days to free users. That seems very reasonable and hardly spam.- 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19414653, 14 天前
Worked well for months, now starting to charge for it. using Consent-O-Matic instead witch is free and Open Source

Initially, it was completely free on both iOS and desktop. After that, they started charging on iOS after three pop-ups were blocked, but said that desktop would remain free.
However, I've just received a message from the extension saying that they will also only allow three blocks per day on desktop.
Consent-O-Matic is completely free, works just as well (or even better) most of the time, and is open source.
The daily messages telling me to pay on iOS were annoying; I won't put up with them on desktop either. It was nice while it lasted, but I'm going to uninstall it.
If you're OK with paying, go for it — it's a fine extension. Otherwise, just install Consent-O-Matic. Used to be free and decided to swap to subscription based. Does not advertise that it is sub based.
This USED to be a free plugin. Sadly, the developer has decided to chase money and remove all utility from the free version, with it only working "up to 3 times a day", otherwise asking for ~$10 per month. So, instead I will be uninstalling.
If you are reading this and haven't enabled automatic updates for plugins, then MAKE SURE TO DISABLE THEM!.

Hi, the extension costs 1$ a month. Not 10$. You can also downgrade if you don't want to pay the subscription. Sadly, a case study as to why to not enable automatic updates. Clippy and Louis Rossmann would be sad. Created an account to review due to recent changes.
I will give the author credit where it is due, he seems to be updating the extension regularly. It's now on version 3.31 and as far as I can tell, the subscription wording was added back 3.29, and I've since downgraded to 3.28 and will leave it there until I find a replacement. I will also give the author credit for creating a popup to let me know as I hadn't realized it had stopped working. And I learned that downgrading an extension is a built in feature of Firefox.
The only other extension I know that charges is PushBullet, but their free option is quite more generous than '3 times a day.' I also rather look at it that something has changed for the developer as he now feels he needs funds and hope things turn out well for him. It's easier to think that, than something like he just got greedy. Or maybe it's better the other way around?
For what it claims, it seems to do what is says. Only had some issues with locally hosted sites, but the blacklist feature is useful enough for that.
Edit:
Updated to 2 stars due to friendly developer response. I cannot go farther than that because they change the extension after the fact. Would have no issue if it was like that from the start. It's unfortunate because I see where the developer is coming from (as a programmer myself) and I understand the thought process, but can't support the act. If you see this Francisco, I thank you for your offer, but I'll have to refuse on principle.
Thanks for the fair and detailed review. Happy to offer you a year long license. I am also glad to know its possible to downgrade as I understand maybe not everyone will be willing to pay, and that way you have a solution. Unfortunately we are two people working almost full time here, and for this to be viable we need to charge a subscription. I don't think 1$ is greedy or unfair, but if people don't like it they can downgrade or stop using it.
Best regards

How standard.

Hi, we show a pop up once every two weeks. It seems pretty fair for a free version. The free version also works 3 times a day (also seems pretty fair but open to hear your thoughts). This extension takes a lot of time to keep updated as sites are constantly changing their cookie banners. I would be happy to offer you a free year.
It makes no sense to give me a one star review simply because you don't want to pay. You can just stop using it.
