The fact that there is a forever licence is a good option, but not for 30 bucks. Maybe if that was 2.99 I'd consider it.开发者回应
发布于 16 天前Hi,
It is a bit sad we never deserved a review from you when we were free and perfect.
The extensions requires a lot of upkeep as we received dozens of reports a day and websites constantly change their code.
I have devoted countless hours for free on this extension. I don't think paying a developer (not me) a salary is chasing money, but perhaps we have different views on whether people should work for free or not.
Best regards,

- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19209014, 1 个月前Suddenly started charging a ridiculous rate for what was free. It is one thing to charge for your work - it is another thing entirely to suddenly switch to a paid model with zero transparency. The website for this extension doesn't mention anywhere that it is NOT FREE, nor does the extension page on the store. I will no longer be using this as a result
Update: the developer waited almost 2 weeks since my review, updated both this extension's store page and their website, and they've now posted a response claiming I was wrong. But neither place mentioned pricing (or "not free") when I originally posted. The pricing on the website is buried in the FAQs page, so technically it is there (as of now). Claiming that you informed customers of the business model change by putting in a pop-up that asks for money is not most people's idea of being transparent (compare that to a pop-up that warns me for several months in advance that you'll start charging)开发者回应
发布于 16 天前Hi,
How is 1$ a month a ridiculous rate? And how is it not transparent? We literally informed all users via a pop up notification. The website mentions the price, so does the extension page. You can still downgrade to a previous version to avoid paying. I don't see how could this be more transparent.
How would you suggest we charge for our work then?

发布于 16 天前Hi,
We only show a pop up once every 15 days to free users. That seems very reasonable and hardly spam.- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19414548, 1 个月前Worked well for months, now starting to charge for it. using Consent-O-Matic instead witch is free and Open Source

- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 19185659, 1 个月前This USED to be a free plugin. Sadly, the developer has decided to chase money and remove all utility from the free version, with it only working "up to 3 times a day", otherwise asking for ~$10 per month. So, instead I will be uninstalling.
If you are reading this and haven't enabled automatic updates for plugins, then MAKE SURE TO DISABLE THEM!.

发布于 1 个月前Hi, the extension costs 1$ a month. Not 10$. You can also downgrade if you don't want to pay the subscription. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14559047, 1 个月前Oh, thinking of making a funtune off "donations" then made very little, turns on the pay wall and blame others for not being nice.
How standard.
Leave.

发布于 1 个月前Hi
Unfortunately we are two people working almost full time here, and for this to be viable we need to charge a subscription. I don't think 1$ is greedy or unfair, but if people don't like it they can downgrade or stop using it. Im also happy to offer you a subscription.

发布于 1 个月前Hi, we show a pop up once every two weeks. It seems pretty fair for a free version. The free version also works 3 times a day (also seems pretty fair but open to hear your thoughts). This extension takes a lot of time to keep updated as sites are constantly changing their cookie banners. I would be happy to offer you a free year.
It makes no sense to give me a one star review simply because you don't want to pay. You can just stop using it.
Feel free to get in touch hello@super-agent.com- Didn't do a ton for me to begin with, then popped up and asked for a subscription after saving me... 1.8 minutes of my time (apparently it kept track).
EDIT: Removed because it kept giving repeated popups. You aren't saving me time with cookies if I'm spending that time again dealing with your own popups. 开发者回应
发布于 1 个月前Hi, why is it a scam to charge for my work? This extension takes a lot of time to keep updated. I would be happy to offer you a free year. It makes no sense to give me a one star review simply because you don't want to pay. You can just stop using it.- Privacy...
If you're going to anonymously do something you DON'T need a my email to set up an account.
You're either doing this as a public service or you're hiding something nefarious.
Just NO!
And there is it is - the first THREE a day are free after that, they're dipping in your pocket.
And this isn't a difficult thing to implement if the community built a database these annoying, non-standard dodges around the idiotic EU Cookie law. This is what happens when bureaucrats design a law without actually consulting with privacy experts (or any experts in regards of this example).
---- EDIT
"Hi, The extension is free for Firefox, it also doesn't require an email to set up. So this review simply makes no sense whatsoever."
That right... allow me to QUOTE the FAQ [URL REMOVED] highlight mine.
" We don’t store any personal data except for your *e-mail address* which we use only to verify your account and to synchronize your preferences across devices.
(So it does need an email...)
AND
"Super Agent is free for the first 3 pop ups a day. The “unlimited” version costs 1.19$€ a month or 11,99$€ a year. A 29.99$€ forever option will be available soon."
So someone is telling fibs, I'm simply quoting from the developer's OWN SITE.
AND
"We don’t store any personal data *except for your e-mail address* which we use only to verify your account and to synchronize your preferences across devices. "
AND
"... [I]nformation may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer."
AND SO ON... Sure, this is boilerplate but it covers the company's rear, not ours.
And you don't need a central server to do this. Fingerprinting is quite sufficient to ID these Javascript devices, a central server is just a way to make sure we're "customers".
Three a day. Give me a break.开发者回应
