This addon has never been really good, but unfortunately it is indispensable due to the lack of alternatives. With the last update it has become much worse. A proper download in Firefox is no longer possible. The developers are desperate to sell their own addon.
Alternatively, you can just copy the link and open it in the Free Download Manager. This is not comfortable.

Do not pay the $30.00 for "Lifetime Use"! Been there, did that. If your computer goes down, "Lifetime Use" meets with an early death and cannot rise up like Lazarus without throwing ANOTHER $30 to Video Download Helper.
This time, lifetime was only three weeks.
That said, the add on is really good. But, lifetime should mean lifetime.

I like the extension, but when the connection times out, the extension stutters and gets into an idiot loop and browser has to be restarted. Also, it would be nice to easily rename files as well as see what filename the video is being downloaded as.

When it works it works well. Sadly it quit working on youtube yet again which is where it used most. Every time this has happened in the past, it has been fixed but this time it has been down awhile and don't know if it will be back or not.

YouTubeの仕様なんでしょうが、DLできる時とできない時があり、どちらかと言うとできない時のほうが多いです。その他のサイトでは問題なくDLできていますので良いのですが、自分の目的であるYouTubeでDLに難があるので星3つです。

Addon works great but only if you also add the program it asks you to that allows you to properly grab videos from places. Its not hard to do but it works fine afterwards. But the fact you have to grab an additional piece of software to make it work properly on top of installing the add on takes away a few points on it.

Generally good on other webs but unable to download vids from fb and youtube got a giant watermark that makes it unusable.

Many times this plug in would allow me to download 11 or 12 videos than stop working for a few hours. This app is helpful, but could be better.

Ich habe vor Kurzem eine Lizenz von Videodownloadhelper für Firefox gekauft, weil er sehr gut besonders mit Youtube-Videos arbeitet. Man kann sie runterladen und weiter verarbeiten. Aber nach ca. 70 geladenen Video Clips verweigert die Extension weitere Clips runter zu laden. Die Meldung lautet: Sie haben mehr als 100 Video Clips ruter geladen (was nicht der Tatsache entspricht...). Der Hersteller der Extension lässt sich nicht kontaktieren. Das finde ich nicht richtig, besonders, weil beim kauf der Lizenz stand nichts über eine Begrenzung der Downloads.

More and more often downloads simply break off and you have to restart several times until you can download a video in one go. This affects various sites.

Würde von mir 5 Sterne bekommen. Es gibt nur ein Problem. Nach dem Download verschiebt sich die TonSpur und Stimmt nicht mehr mit dem Video überein. Schade ansonsten Top. Leider ist dies ein sehr großer Fehler der beheben werden müsste.
