Edit: Used for awhile on Firefox and find several issues that didn't appear when using it in Chrome.
1) outlook.com mail seems to be broken, cannot see email pane.
2) ads are still appearing on pages that do not appear in Chrome
Will retry it later to see if more bugs are fixed.

At eBay (= online auctions) I must [Stop 7 Times Faster] entirely, because e.g. the answering button for conversation with members looks demolished and lacks function. Only whitelisting "ebay.com" doesn't bring the solution, because links to the subdomain "rover.ebay.com" are still blocked. Therefore it would be good, if the whole second-level domain is whitelisted for real. It would be much better, if everybody could add entries to [Show whitelisted domains] by him-/herself. Not only [Delete] in the add-on Options - also a [Add] button.
I don't checkboxed [[] Block social media] in my browser. Pressing the [F12]-key opens the developertools|console - everyone's easy possibility to look closer, whats internal going on while websurfing. But I'm missing a complete log view a litte bit.
Creating custom filters by a comfortable "element picker" would be a nice-to-have option in the end. Only low priority for the programmer, I mean. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 14491021, 6 年前

This addon is just an underwhelming generic adblocker that lacks configuration and many of the basic needed features other adblockers have. It comes with bundled non configurable filter lists. People can achieve better and more consistent results if they take 2 minutes to learn about filter lists and basic features of most adblockers.
- First, it's really not a bad extension. But if you use "uBlock Origin", it makes absolutely no sense to switch. This extension uses mainly hardcoded hostfiles-blocking (which is not bad - "uBlock Origin" also uses these type of lists... among others). FYI: Hostfiles uses only domain-specific blocking - a basic thing. But there are no cosmetic filters at all. For me it's not a problem, since I only use very little own cosmetic filters in uBlock Origin. Just speaking for others, who like to use those filters. Furthermore the possibility to block ads, tracking-pixel and scrips for 1-party-sites (the actual site you called) is very low, since it only has a very tiny list (~350 entries). Another thing: There are no options to choose what can be blocked (more filter lists, add own entries or something like an "element picker/ hider"). The user has no insight in what exactly get blocked, unless you study the code of the extension. The only thing you can control is to add a tiny list of "social media" and whitelist the actual domain and/ or page or disable the extension completely. For some folks it might be satisfying - nothing to mess about. The icon badge only gives a counter that something is blocked, but not exactly what is blocked.
It's indeed faster then "Adblock Plus". But that's not really hard, since "Adblock Plus" is technically outdated and is/ was a pure performance break since years. But it's NOT as fast as "uBlock Origin", although it blocks more "out of the box" and has far more possibilities then this extension here. In the end I don't see a single reason to prefer it over "uBlock Origin", because it can do it all and far more (better) then "7 Times Faster". But I do appreciate the work of the developer of this extension. I'm sure there will come some improvements in the future. :-)
EDIT to developers reply:
Hello. I'm not "wrong". I never said that all users want advanced options and want to review application code. As mentioned, that was my own personal opinion only. I just need more informations about the extension with its blocking process. Besides that, in my review I said: "For some folks it might be satisfying - nothing to mess about." So please don't put wrong words in my mouth. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 12203733, 8 年前I already had ublock origin and umatrix on ffox 55, but your add-on has speeded up page loading on top of these two. I now run your add-on on its own and so far things seem fast and stable!
