However, it is also by far the most fully featured solution out there so it has more functions and features to handle than any other solution out there. Everything else has taken away options like self-hosting whereas BitWarden not only has their hosting option but the local hosting plus the docker you need to set up a self hosting cloud ‘server’. Also 100% open source unlike others so you can fully validate everything and not take any company’s word for it nor worry about an organization being acquired and ransacking your password manager. All this and support is great, the community is more active than any other, and the cost is lower than other solutions. AND it is very much cheaper if looking for basic password manager and less than $15/year for fully featured version. Price only goes up if getting family but even then, $40 for 6 people annually is less than competitors.
Plus, its clients and extensions are fully functional. Some others have very good ones but when you get into the heavy lifting like exporting, you find you need Windows or Mac Client and and Web Client, Extension, or Linux client will not do.
The only other one I can recommend is 1Password. I’ll be honest that if you have a family that needs a password manager that is for the family and no one in the family has technical skills, 1Password is the simplest and easiest. Far better than not having anything. Trade off is not having all the other features that BitWarden has and you are forced to store your vault with them, cannot host your own.
That is my one disclaimer but I highly recommend BitWarden and just give yourself that extra hour it will take to get used to everything. You could easily use functionality later that if you went the easier route, you would have missed out on.
Five stars all day. Coming from someone that has worked with cybersecurity for many years and worked with almost every password manager out there. If not, open source for full verification and allows for self hosting so you know that not even the company can access your data, then you can never truly know. Major organizations have had court orders for information that they supposedly could not access and had the independent certifications but not open source and some of them could provide information that they said they could not decrypt.
That is why I cannot stress enough why BitWarden deserves its five stars and why you really need to know your data is truly secure.

Yes, 90% of the time I just need the extension, but for those times I need to open my vault in a new tab and view the WEBSITE version, I have to manually lookup the bitward website and login??? Just act like other extensions, when you right click the extension button the first option should be a link to the website (and it should remember you are already logged in and not ask you to login again!!!)

Half the sites we use won't accept a passphrase that long, so it's very difficult to manually shorten each password.

Là j'ai même un écran noir quand je clique sur l'application, je peux plus rien faire je dois désinstaller - 评分 3 / 5来自 Zack,2 天前It's alright, but buggy. If you're counting on it to auto-fill a credit card for airplane wifi, know that unlocking the vault needs network access :(

1: When updating password and the old one is required, it overwrites either the old or new one, so I have to copy/paste either one
2: (Particularly) when deleting password a confirmation pop-up always appears, though its not a permanent deletion (it only sends to Trash folder)
3: When re-generating password by pressing the recycle button, the method pop-up always appears though its already set (Takes extra time for 0 reason)
4: Shows passwords in Trash folder as an autofill option
5: Cant hover folders
6: When trying to edit passwords, I have to press twice: View then Edit. Bothering
Literally overrated. Looking for replacement
Update: After using a few days I began to feel like its not that bad. Customizable password generation and being able to use folders (Firefox cant) is at least neat. - 评分 5 / 5来自 nico,6 天前

La RAM sollicitée est monté à 21Go chez moi et d'autres collègues sur un même tableau avec des centaines de liens et de requêtes XHR en arrière plan.
Sans l'extension, pas de problème de RAM - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18690417,9 天前
