Letting a lot of sites I thought I had blocked through. Wildcards are no longer allowed so all the offending site has to do is make a small change and it gets through.
BLOCKS ALMOST NOTHING!!! - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13545728,7 年前Blocking in the new version for FF 57 does not work in many cases. E.g. I have this file blocked and yet it is loaded. Before all worked as expected.

Old version was very useful, the new one is useless. - 评分 3 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13542745,7 年前If you open up a second firefox window then on this window the sites are not blocked anymore

If the Blocklist is activatet the URLs come up inspite of it. Withput my activity. So I think by myself - is it a stupid joke - made by the MOZILLA-staff ?
The Blocklist-addon seems to me absolutely useless.
But - may be Im only a 60 years old idiot.......................................
Warm regards

It can block a url but not a domain
I mean,
I can block www.domain.com/page1.html
but not domain.com
I've tested domain.com*, domain.com/*, domain.com.*, etc and nthing to do
The previous version was working very well but this no, doesn't work - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13537585,7 年前In theory a well-designed effective app. In practice, it clears my blocklist every time i close firefox, rendering it useless. Reimporting only reintroduces sites, no other settings. Giant waste of time unless the blocklist actually saves. Help?

- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13456834,7 年前1. Doesn't allow me to edit a blocked site
2. I could do without the smart-a*s comments at the bottom of screen! What is the point!! If you want to keep count, fine, but there's no need for the smart-a*s cr*p.
The old app was great, I loved it; sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13305358,7 年前Literally it is a useless extension, I say literally because it only "blocks" some sites and others do not, and sometimes it doesnt work either. And write "blocks" because it does not avoid the pop-up since it opens an annoying tab, that's why it's useless.
I have been using this extension for years but with the last big update they destroyed all the good work they had done years ago, luckily there is an alternative that I found that is similar to the previous one and functional (I recommend it before this) - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13533211,7 年前I liked this addon
But i don't want even a second to be displayed

- the new interface is confusing
- does not block sites that already have listings
- Most of the time it does not let add url
Summing up: it's useless - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13530313,7 年前great blocker, blocks all url's even just specific sections of websites.

Yeah, it blocks websites just fine. I'm sure for a simple parent wanting to protect their child from harmful websites, it's fine.
The transition into Quantum didn't mess up BlockSite at all. In fact, it cleaned up the UI, added new features, and even got the password system... half working.
Before, you would try to input a password... and everything would stop working. Now, you can put in a password, and it'll actually register! Hooray!
Strangely enough, though, it does NOT, by default, password-lock blocked websites. Rather, the BlockSite options are password-locked. Luckily, though, there is an easy-to-access setting in said options that allows you to password-lock blocked websites.
Except it, you know, doesn't work. It acts as if I never turned on the setting. PLEASE fix this! It'd be insanely useful to me if you did.
