发布于 7 年前Thank you for your review. I was also searching for a replacement for FavIcon Reloader and every thread on favicon-reloading led the the same answer: Click "Open All in Tabs.." for each bookmarks-folder. The WebExtensions API does not support favicon reloading/manipulation.
Another workaround: You can run this addon in the background if you open another browser window where you can also close the sidebar. The addon loads tabs only in the window it was started in... - 评分 4 / 5来自 Indio,7 年前

Suggestions:
1) Maybe load the bookmarks in background tabs so that it is at least theoretically possible to continue working while the extension loads and closes all tabs in the background. Currently, it is impossible to use the browser while the extension works.
2) Move the extension out of the sidebar, into its own dedicated page. I don't think it makes much sense to use the sidebar for this extension, and you will also run into issues because people might have sidebars with smaller widths.开发者回应
发布于 7 年前Thank you for your feedback. I’ve implemented your first suggestion in the latest release. When it comes to the second one I’m skeptical. I do most of my bookmark related stuff in the bookmarks sidebar. Having the errors in the sidebar, I can quickly review them without window switching/rearranging and now I can keep an eye on the progress while opening other tabs - for example to review an error. I consider reducing the font-size of the list though. Displaying bookmarks in the sidebar should be possible on every screen, shouldn’t it? I think I don’t expect too much when I’m expecting people to resize their sidebar. Maybe a misconception ;) Maybe there are even screens where the sidebar can’t get wide enough but how does the bookmark sidebar work on that screens? Well, I will keep that in mind... - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13029084,7 年前While the extension appears to do what it says, the resulting list of truncated bookmarks make it impossible to tell which specific bookmarks are being reported (and nothing about where in the bookmark folder structure they are located), the icons are ambiguous on what they mean (e. g., what's the difference between the two styles of arrows?), there is no display of what the errors were (just that errors were encountered), and the link to the support site is the github with the readme that points to the extension in AMO.
Quite simply, as it stands, I can't use this because I don't know just what it did besides visiting sites I had bookmarked, what actions it automatically took after visiting those sites, and I don't know what actions are taken when I click on some of the icons in the results list in the sidebar.开发者回应
发布于 7 年前Thanks for your feedback. I've added a help section (?-icon) where clickable icons are explained. It seems that you have to adjust the width of your sidebar. Then you should see the titles and symbols which indicate the type of error. If you hover the icons there is a tooltip that describes the meaning of the symbol. Visiting the bookmarks loads its favicons. Please read in my prior response why I choose this workaround. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13320527,7 年前I meant the same function as FavIcon Reloader. And then I have 10,000 bookmarks! and I would like to restore their icons

发布于 7 年前I see... thanks again! Actually I was waiting for a replacement for FavIcon Reloader, but at the moment it does not seem to be possible to port its functionality to the new addon-ecosystem. I think that's why the developer could not update it for newer versions of firefox and it is the reason why I came up with this workaround. With 10.000 bookmarks you could always backup/restore your favicons.sqlite, favicons.sqlite-shm and favicons.sqlite-wal files in your profile folder or let this extension run for two hours and turn of the heating instead ;) Maybe, on the other hand side, you can reduce your number of bookmarks by finding many dead links...
