Deen Shield does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser storage APIs.

What We Don't Collect

• Browsing history
• Personal information
• Usage statistics
• Analytics data
• Crash reports
• Location data (prayer times use browser's built-in geolocation with your permission only)

Local Storage Only

All extension data is stored locally in your browser:
- Custom blocklists
- User preferences
- Prayer time settings
- Dhikr counter progress
- DeenHub customizations
- Encrypted passwords (if set)

Third-Party Services

The extension does NOT use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

Permissions Used

• storage: To save your preferences locally
• webRequest/webRequestBlocking: To block inappropriate content
• alarms: For prayer time notifications
• <all_urls>: To apply blocking rules across all websites

Prayer Times & Geolocation

When you enable prayer times, the extension requests your location (with explicit permission) to calculate accurate prayer times locally. This location data is never transmitted or stored outside your browser.

Data Security

• All sensitive data is encrypted locally
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• No data leaves your device
• Uninstalling removes all extension data

Islamic Compliance

We follow Islamic principles of privacy (Amanah), trust, and ethical technology. No deceptive practices or hidden functions.

Your Rights

• Modify or delete settings anytime
• No account or registration required
• Open source code for full transparency
