As soon as I'd tried to download YouTube's auto-generated subtitles I was redirected to some cheesy 'choose your girl' sleazy gaming site, and Mozilla gave me warnings about having detected viruses, and to update payment with McAfee, which I don't even subscribe to. Appears to either be compromised or outright fake, this extension or link. Had to click 'Allow' on two different pages to enable , to 'prove you are not a robot', when I don't want any notifications just to download subtitles.

This extension doesn't do anything, except launch DownloadYoutubeSubtitles.com, which just extracts CC/subtitles from YT (if there's no CC or subtitles, DYS.com will bork.) It's "less than 3 kb"?! It's 3 kb too big for a link to an external site! Please, add that to the description, because it's luring people into believing the extension is capable of generating CC/subtitles from videos that have none (even the external service doesn't do it!)

After loooong minutes trying to find the way to do this, it was just here available in our favorite browser with this simple extension !
Even in it's current form, it perfectly does the job. I hope development will continue with more FF integration eventually avoiding the redirection.
And if adds on redirected page help funding the project, please add a donation link for those willing to sponsor and maybe avoid this.
